That makes no sense. Ecutek is a closed encrypted system requiring a license. I don't think you can use the Tactrix adapter.

It is possible to flash OFT ROMs with Tactrix. It also makes more sense because Tactrix is wide open. It's not at all idiot proof. The user has to double-triple check everything to make sure to use the right definition file and rom for the Calibration ID. I'm even more convinced your buddy fucked up. No offense.

That being said. I'm getting out of my element. @steve99 is active here. Be nice to him and the other experts. You're in for a project.

How? An OFT is married to one car, I didn't think it'd even let you steal someone else's tune. Flash back to stock, get your own and see if the problem persists.

Yeah man I think he did fucked up and he said "No, it's just that it will think the tune I put on is the cars stock tune." Meaning the tune he put on it will be the one that gets married to the oft

Ultramaroon: IIRC one can also do open tunes with ecutek. Though of course it's not in best interests of tuning shops & in majority of cases they'll choose to encrypt tune.

The tablet is but not the ROM files.

Yeah, the tunes can be left unlocked at the tuner's discretion but they are still licensed and married to the ECU. Is that what you mean?

edit: I'm pretty sure there's no action between an ECUtek ROM and a Tactrix dongle but, again, I'm admittedly at the edge of my knowledge. I have a Tactrix but I still haven't had the balls to flash with it.

Those codes are not tune related

Fuel level sensor and air temp sensor.

Guy woukd have used tactrix and ecuflash not ecutek, it requires special cabke and an ecutek licience.

Its possibke those codes tripp due fkash process interrupting can buss communications.

Remove a battery termibal fow a few minutes to reset ecu and control modules in car.

See if codes return, if so check above circuits fuses and diagnose and replace as necessary

Correct tactrix\ecuflash does not lock ecu. You could buy oft and flash over the current tune but it wont solve your issue if its a hardware problem with sensors
