Coming back down from Observatory to Mines was a different story...3-4x much gravel..all I heard most the way down till you get back into the Upper San Antonio Valley/Ivy Canyon was ding ding bing ding bing bing ding
I had about 3 pieces fly up and hit windshield..so yeah stuff going everywhere

Hopefully within the next month since weather is better more people will fling the gravel off the road
My windshield is already cracked so maybe I'll volunteer to go run it a couple times one day to do my part clearing it off lol

When we did our last drive and we were going from Sunol to Mines Rd, how did you beat us all there? This is the route we took and then on Vallecitos I lost you. I thought maybe you decided to bail and then once we got to the start of Mines you were waiting on the side of the road up ahead.

WHAT IS THIS SORCERY, I WANT SOME ANSWERS!

Oh yeah! I was wondering the same thing... reminded me of the old Tortoise and the Hare Bugs Bunny cartoons... where the turtle called ahead to his buddies and they took turns waiting for Bugs up ahead to mess with his head haha.

Lol. Ive commuted through Livermore for years..I know all the shortcuts.
I made a right onto Wetmore which ends into Arroyo Road then I made a left it puts you back onto Concannon lol.
It skips all the lights on Holmes and all the stop signs on Concannon

It's always faster no matter what lol.

I have to admit, I kind of enjoy the stop signs... two lanes side by side makes for a nice couple of short drag strips...

Coming from a guy who lives outside of town...I can use my road as a drag strip anytime of the week or day lol.
So I prefer to skip the stop signs

I wanna go up there with some home made sweep contraption and just drag it off somehow..like a plow so it'll move it off to the shoulder

But I figured that's more work then it's worth considering unless I had a way to put downforce on it to make sure it actually sweeps and doesn't go in between bristles....plus gotta have it be self-adjusting to account for curvature of road

Yeah..way too much work
I don't feel like engineering that or spending money on it either

Just have everyone tie a bunch of these to the back of their cars. They sweep up everything

Seems like this a good category of "isn't that someone else's job?"

Maybe we could contact public works or whoever the hell manages those roads and ask them nicely?

Yup. Asking government employees nicely always works when. Especially when it's their supefvisors who make the call.

*says govt employee who likes being able to pass basically all requests on to his supervisor*

We can sell it like it's a public safety issue. Complete with pie charts, graphs, and statistics.

Only works if you are a constituant in the county supervisors area that covers that road. Then call them angry about busted windshields and dangerous conditions. They'll get on public works ass
