This dog is amazing. He's only 6 months old but damn is he smart! I love how quiet they are to. Both of his parents are show dogs to. The owner wins nearly every show he takes them to. If you want to, you can PM me for his info. He ships them all around the world. Literally. Some lady just flew out from Japan and picked up two

He's already a good boy, but he's sadly not ridding in the FRS. He likes to put anything and everything in his mouth and isn't fully potty trained. Very close but he still has his accidents.

Like I said, PM me if you want the guys info

May I ask how it compares to the RX-8 in terms of handling, acceleration, engine sound, interior quality, etc.?

Not looking for which is "better" necessarily, just wondering what differences I'd notice coming from an RX-8...

Well the handling feels very similar. I have the same confidence in a turn as I did in the Rx8. Acceleration is a bit better in the low RPMs but you have nearly all the tourqe at a very low RPM where in the Rx8, well you didn't... Lol. I haven't redlined it yet tho (still breaking it in), but it feels very peppy from the start. I also noticed a lot sooner up shifting, you really don't need to gain RPMs get moving. Engine sound isn't the same as the rotary but sounds uniqu and different compared to regular piston engines (when people said it had a little nice rumble, I thought they were hearing things, because this car has equal length header, but for some reason I actually do hear it a little. Maybe that crazy intake deal?). Intierior is very similar as far as quality. Everything you would normally touch from a day to day basis is great. Just wish it had something similar to the center console of the Rx8.

I like it a little better then the Rx8 tho. It has a lot of uniqu, special little things that makes this car it's own.

I've actually not seen a white BRZ in person yet. I heard they are the came color tho, just different names. The white on this car is very creamy tho. It's kinda off white pearl and looks like I could just lick it :P

Is there any compelling reason then to switch from a healthy RX-8 to an FR-S right away?

Or are they so similar in "fun factor," that it's more like when the time comes to move on from an RX-8 (begins breaking down often, compression failing, etc.) the FR-S is a good choice?

May I ask why you gave up your RX-8 (assuming you did)?

The fun factor of the Rx8 in my opinion is trailing behind the FRS. Its a very close second but like I said, my FRS is still in its break in period, so ask me in a few weeks and it may even be a far second :P

With my FRS, I don't have to worry about going down the street from my house and wondering if its safe to shut the car off, changing the plugs and coils every 30k (I drive to much for that), I mean you get the idea. I just drive it. I did tons of research on the Rx8 before I bought one. I mean heck, I've even been on this forum for nearly a year before it came out, researching

I bought my Rx8 used from Carmax with 55k miles and a clear carfax. Well it turned out to be a total lemon. I owned it for 7 months, and the first 3, it was in the shop 23 times with MAJOR issues. 2 clutches, 4 transmission services, the 5th time they just gave me a new transmission, new engine, new starter, you name it, it was probably done. Buying it from a dealer was a huge mistake. I was in a renter/loaner car more then my own car.

I still loved so much about that car but had to give it up. I can finally say now, that I found all the good from that car, in another car, that I have high hopes on reliability, and long term fun and joy, without the questionable rotary.
