Without giving 2much (haha) away, like we suspected it does not work well with an NA application. It loses some power mid-range but actually picked up power downlow, didn't see that coming.

We're moving onto FI testing which is what this manifold was designed for.

Higher compression, higher rpm, aggressive cams, and wet shot of nitrous?

Element ran into the same problem with big valve NA heads more damage then good minimal gains for lots of work. I think 54mm is too big of an opening. 52 is almost a perfect match just a little larger. Lost velocity with 54mm. Maybe too small of a plenum as well for the flow.
Only a guess.

Do you have a link to that? I personally see no need for bigger valves, these are huge already. And the port flow is massive too.

Be interesting to know what the results were on the NA test and what exactly didn't work and where.

Spoke to them directly on the phone about a month ago, picked their brains. Headgames Motorsports has the same result. Lots of work minimal gains.

No one has flow bench tested this head yet to play with port designs. adding putty removing material to find out if it can be improved.

I tested mine on the flowbench back in February. I've got epoxy in my inlet ports since April. Works well. The intake manifold is what is holding it back in my opinion.

I'd have to dig all that out. Think i put a photo of it on facebook will check later.
Flow numbers though. I was getting comparable flow to some 2-litre 4-pot heads i've done that are over 1000bhp on big turbos. Hence my comment its not the flow. Air velocity was very poor in the head.

This is awesome news! You really should make a thread about this. It amazes me how little development has gone toward trying to make decent NA from this motor.

I have a few questions I'd like to ask, but I'll save them for another thread so we don't take this one over too much.
