Non expierenced tuner, trying to upgrade my frs...

Well title says it all, I don't really know to much about how a car works in depth. The fr-s is my first ever purchased vehicle and I'm looking to upgrade. Such as a faster 0-60 more torque and hp at reasonable price.. The more information the better. Also I'm lookin for new rims I'm Tryna go black on black. I'm thinkin 19's if they'll fit and wat would be the best fitting. Air intakes turbos, coil overs, whatever's the best an gets the most improvement, help me out I'm Tryna make this raven fly thanks

You should tryna search the forums. An air intake turbo would be a swell addition to your whip.

Every time you type "tryna" on the internet, God kills a kitten. If you install one of those eBay "Intake Turbos" then God will send his team of highly-trained, ninja hamsters to your house to tattoo, "I'm a complete IDIOT!" on your forehead.

And there is not such thing as "hp at a reasonable price" regardless of what you may have heard.

lol you guys. U Funny!

Jonoraven, unfortunately HP comes at a price. you need to search the forced induction section. This car was very well built and I would familiarize with its abilities, before you start dropping money in it. Cars can be a money pit.

Things some people recommend is to get track driving lessons first, if thats what you want.

Some things to make the car more enjoyable, brake pads, tires, short shifter, light flywheel. it depends on your needs.

HP ---> you are talking turbos and superchargers to get more bang for the buck 3 to 4 K area..

altough you can gain a few hp with simple mods, but money is always a factor. It aint going to be cheap.

By reasonable price I ment not top of the line most expensive. I have expierence driving and I know turbos and things arnt cheap but I also know there's some out there overcharging on there product for the output. Iv read through the forums quite well an iv ran into things where I don't understand the tuning language which is why I posted this. And to all you people Tryna make fun of my Internet talk I don't really care because you understood it anyways. Thanks more help instead of harassment would help.

Ya stock I agree it's not the fastest, but it can most certainly be upgraded to make it there. I make quite swell money so it's not a problem I'm just trying to figure more out before I invest.

Yeah, fast would be a Mustang or similar. The FR-S is more for real driving. There is a difference.

You guys are funny, almost spit out my coffee reading this thread! Thanks, made my morning a little brighter!

I personally think it is important to understand exactly what your car is doing before you start tweaking it. There are a lot of parts that have a symbiotic relationship with each other. You will run into issues and you should be prepared. There's this guy on youtube that has some really good videos explaining how certain things work in cars. His videos are very educational. Good luck on your journey.

Dont knock other cars, especially if they could hand you your ass on a 'real' track.

Well, if you make decent money, budget about 15 grand. Forced induction, couple other bolt ons, coilovers and suspension, wheels, and tires. As for which brands to pick, that's your job to search and find.
