That Nissan is so ugly it's giving me anxiety every time I look at it.

I still like this old one. Too bad they're so rare and expensive. It looks light, sporty and drifty.
They're a ton of fun on the game. You can start your drift way before the corner.

first off, how do you know how much drag it generates? things like the xb have less drag than the veyron but guess which one can go 200mph. second off, drag is a good thing. there is a reason the prius has a coefficient of .24 while an f1 car has a drag coefficient of 1.75-2.xx

I like the IDX concept and hope that make a decent car based on it with RWD the 1.6 turbo engine and a manual option.

this perticular concept car is ugly but the idea is there. I would like to see a resurgence of neoclassical Japanese lines. Though I'm more interested in them bringing back the 80s lines.

also, am i the only one who thinks of 7 buttons and a turntable every time i see "IDX" thrown around? Bemani..

High performance cars have high drag coefficients because it is impossible to make downforce without increasing the drag. That doesn't mean drag is a good thing - it's always a bad thing, but sometimes, it's worth making the tradeoff for increased downforce. I doubt very much that this thing will be making a lot of downforce though.

The concept looks like a FAT MINI CHALLENGER.

I'm not gonna lie, I like the retro attempt of the IDx but I find the Nismo more appealing which seems like a lot of styling prob won't happen. That being said, that concept doesn't compare to FT-86. Once you hear and look at the FT-86, it completely turns everything sideways. No pun intended. The IDx feels like just a competitor, not something that would stand on its own although I'd like Nissan to make it for some competition. I can just see the IDx vs. 86/BR-Z arguments on the forums now. haha.

my point was that it isnt as simple as looking at a couple pictures and knowing what the car is going to be about. drag isnt good but like you said, its mandatory to produce downforce. we dont go around saying high performance tires are always bad because they increase drag or high performance motors are bad because they increase weight. most of a cars drag and more importantly lift comes from the undercarriage anyways.
