I have the Tarmac 2 Clubsports, and have noticed some slipping in the ride height on my front right coilover. The locking nut on the plastic collar apparently isn't holding any longer. I was more than careful in the torque applied to the locking screw, but it appears that it's no longer going to hold.

My question is, are replacement collars available? Also, is it possible to fit a dual locking set of metal collars to this KW strut instead of relying on the plastic collar and lock screw? These are wonderful coilover - I absolutely love them - but this one piece seems to be an achilles heel in an otherwise amazing product from RCE ....

Interesting, we haven't seen that before on BRZ or our Impreza sets. We do have replacements, so please give us a call as soon as you can.

Do you have a dual locking metal collars available for the Tarmac 2s?

We can do an extra locking plastic perch, but we don't have metal ones. We've done that combo before and it works well. Call us tomorrow.

So I installed my Tarmac 0's this past weekend. Love the way they look and the ride is very nice. Only problem I am running into is my car veers off to the right when I brake and the brakes feel different. I have to push the pedal much harder than before.

Hoping I didn't damage any of the lines, but I don't see how I could have. The bolt that holds the line in the back left wheel didn't fit and it stripped the stock bolt. I had to use a different bolt and a nut just to hold it there.

Any advice? I'm going to get an alignment today if that may be my issue.

First, before driving anywhere else, check your brake fluid level in the reservoir and shine a light at your brakes all around and inspect them best you can. Look for fluid drips everywhere and especially at the brake line fittings.

Are you certain that your ride height settings are consistent side to side? I'm not sure but maybe one side is slightly higher than the other and possibly contributing to the car being off balance under braking? Number of threads used/remaining on the strut collar are a good reference point to check ride height side to side.

Each side measured from center cap to fender measures 14". I did my turns on ride height based on the locking pin.

What I measured for height adjustment was the length of thread left below the strut collar, from bottom to the collar. Good luck with everything!

I believe your method of measurement is accurate, but check that threads left too.

Thanks! Yeah, I think the brakes might need to be bled. Might have gotten an air bubble in one of the lines. The fact that the car veers to the right makes it feel like the back left brake might have something going on. I'm having the alignment shop check them today while I get it. The car rides amazing otherwise and I can corner like crazy with the 4.5 inches of clearance I have up front now!

I'll check the threads on each coil when I get home.

There's a good chance the alignment will help a lot. Check the brakes though.

Did you disconnect the brake lines when you installed the Coils?
