With the stock header, yes. If you've replaced the header, especially with one with a 3" collector, then you should be replacing the over pipe too.

Correct me if I'm wrong, stock measures 2" (51.2mm) at the collector, and the Tomei measures 2.38" (60.5mm).

With that in mind I should be fine.

Stepping down almost half an inch like that introduces a big disruption in flow, if it were me I would be replacing the overpipe.

This might be a bit out of the blue as I haven't provided any updates while....

Anyway, I picked up my car from Harrop today with the supercharger installed and I have to say it absolutely drives like a dream.

A lot has happened to the car since Saturday as that was when I and a couple of my mates installed a new exhaust system consisting of the following parts:

- Tomei EL headers (ceramic coated by Jet-Hot)
- SME 2.5" overpipe (ceramic coated by Jet-Hot)
- SME 2.5" catted front-pipe
- Invidia Q300 cat-back

The couple of weeks prior to this I was busy buying the exhaust parts and organizing the ceramic coating for the headers/overpipe.

I also bought and installed Valenti tail lights a couple of weeks prior to this.
(Oh, bought a Cosworth air filter as well but didn't need it as the SC kit came with a BMC air filter)

Then it finally came time to drop my car off at Harrop and here I am today with a supercharger installed.

When I get to work tomorrow I'll scan a copy of my dyno printout and post it along with a few more photos.

Btw, has anyone got any thoughts on KW V3 coilovers as I'm considering getting a set?
I should probably do a bit more research before asking: which coilovers are recommended on these forums?

I think the V3's may be a bit much if you're trying to keep it comfortable.
They are amazing coilovers, but a serious piece of kit.

For your purposes, I think some V1's, or ST's, (same thing,) may be a more tame/comfortable choice that give you all you need.

Are you still on stock wheels/tires with the supercharger?

Such a sleeper... I'm diggin' your focus on improving the core functions of the car. Can't wait to glance at the dyno sheet.

As far as the KW's go, as Jazzle stated, they are definitely a serious setup. However, they're not too over the top for daily driving by any means. They have adjustable dampening for both compression and rebound so you can alter it as you'd like.

Their quality is arguably among the best of the coilover systems on the market. Not to mention, they're running a special from now until SEMA (which is UNHEARD of, as KW rarely runs specials).

Yeah, they're still stock.
Planning to replace them both in one go.

Hopefully I have enough time to visit Up Garage for my Japan vacation at the end of this month.
My friend's have been telling me they sell a large range of used wheels at a very good price.

Attached more photos to original post.

Has anyone else had fitment issues with their Invidia Q300 catback?

In the attached photo the left tip sticks out slightly more than on the right.
If I push the left side in and pull on the right it will sit even until I go for a drive and it'll settle back into this position.

I've seen pictures and videos of their place. I want to go so bad!

Some tein flex z + nice 17x9 wheels like rpf1 or 57dr will compliment this car.

A set of RPF1 rims would be nice.
I leaning more towards 17x8 or 18x8 to retain driftability.

Having driven the car a few more times I think the exhaust is too raspy when revving between 2500-3000rpms.
The noise is ok when I'm cruising and holding the engine speed at a constant rpm.
But when driving in traffic, constantly having to stop, then start, and revving through the 2500-3000rpm range before shifting to the next gear, the exhaust noise becomes quite noticeable.
I had a friend drive behind me this evening and he said the exhaust was quite loud at times.

Has anyone got any suggestions on what I can do to reduce the noise?
It's the raspyness that's annoying more than the loudness.

Unfortunately the rasp is probably coming from your header. Since you are going for that "sleeper" look, why not give the stock muffler a try? You can also maybe try a catted header or catted mid pipe. ACE also has a super quiet muffler they are developing
