Also pick up anew car during the day light hours. You can see much better all over car. I also like to take with me a flashlight to check other locations in the inside. Lastly, the check the oil level.

Check that the rubber stoppers/grommets are installed under your car.

It was not installed on my brz when I got it. Nasa glove box yung rubber stoppers. My agent didn't even know what it was for so I just installed it myself.

I think there was a post about it here somewhere before.
What are the stoppers/grommets for?

check for the plugs located below your car. it should be plugged as to avoid water and other stuff to get inside it.

if its not plugged if i'm not mistaken the sound is louder but water and odor from the outside environment can go inside the car. someone posted it here back in may 2013 i think.

They are used to plug the two tie down holes in the rear subframe which are used during the transportation of the cars from the factory. It should have been done as part of the pre-delivery inspection by the casa:

question, my DRL lights up along with the park lights/head lights are turned on irregardless if engine is on or off and handbrake is activated or not... i just remembered this post of @NIKDENG about the DRL for the 86 and remembered mine isnt how it was described... so which is it supposed to be?

btw, my DRL was functioning already as i got it from the casa so i didnt put any relays anymore

check your car based on the picture NIKDENG posted there should be a rubber stopper inserted there.

@pcuerpo,

Does your DRL light up when the engine is on, handbrake disengaged and headlights turned off? If not then your DRL is not enabled and what you are seeing is the led bar on your headlight functioning as park lights.

It's the same. The LED strip also lights up when you turn on the park lights. When the headlights are turned off, they should turn on if you disengage the e-brake. The only difference is that when they are functioning as DRLs, they light up stronger than as park lights.

Exactly as Tye said. Its the same led bar but if your DRL function is not enabled, it will not light up when your park/headlights are turned off and the handbrake disengaged. The led bar will only function as park lights. The addition of the relay for the DRL is what enables this function.
