Idle dipping when the clutch is depressed

I bought my FR-S about 3 months ago, and I've just noticed that when i depress the clutch to come to a stop, it sometimes idle dips to 400rpm and then rises back to idle speed. I have heard about this problem before but i'm not sure if it's normal or if I should carry it to the dealer since I still have warranty on the vehicle still.

P.S. : First post on the FT86 form, I'm in love with my FRS so far.

If your A/C or defrost is on, it's normal. The little 2.0L has to struggle a bit as the compressor cycles.

Thanks, I'll be sure to try turing off the A/C and see if the problem still persists

That's normal. Not a problem. Just another weird quirk of this car.

Does it make a rattling noise under the hood (video on post #3) a moment before the RPM drops? If so, then it happens on mine too, but not as low as 400. Mine's probably 500. But low enough to feel the shudder.

Mine will do this (down to about) for a second if I just came off a long highway run or traveled a few blocks at high revs and then come to a complete stop without a slow down period. Like Extra said I just consider it another foible of this car and am not concerned.

This isn't even a quirk of this particular car, it's typical across the board

With the ac on and both fans running and then the AC cycles or you turn the fan up, DRL's on, or Headlights on, then the music is up with the amp pulling some amps.Thats a big amp draw at low rpm at a light. Dunno what AMP our Alternators are but it seems to be sufficient, maybe 10-20 amps more would be nice.
