Not sure if you want to add this...
Engine is going to be D-4S based on the GT video speculation.
It will have both port and direct injection.

Found some info on the brakes. They're 4-pot calipers.

Never heard of ADVICS before so looked it up. Turns out their a brake system company created in 2001. It's a joint venture between Aisin Seiki Co., DENSO Corp. Sumitomo Electric Industries, and Toyota Motor Corp.

Buncha great info so far thanx. Any significance to this concept being designed in their ED2 european studio? What other cars have been designed out of there.

The Lexus SC430 also.

From the motortrend article Black FT-86 posted in another thread, some info on # of concept designs out there

Quote:
A source close to Toyota tells us that while the FT-86's exterior design is sourced from Toyota Europe Design in France, two other prototypes also exist, one penned by head office in Toyota City and the other created by Calty Design Research in California. "Build quality is very high, and it may already look ready for the road, but don't be surprised if the exterior changes, because this car is not finished, not by a long way," our source says.

Damn, 19"?

Not much tire selection and they are all seriously expensive. I would have expected a 17 inch wheel.

How big are the discs going to be?

While it would be nice to dream, I wouldn't expect those brakes and 19s to make it to production. Probably 17s for the wheels and regular 4 wheel discs for the brakes.
