Pure Automotive Performance's White Street Fighter- 2JZ Swap - Formerly the FRSS LS2!

Hey Guys!

For those of you that don't know me or what we're all about here at Pure Automotive Performance, My name is Brady, I'm the owner of the shop and this is my personal car.

The car was an early-ish model, got it in December 2012, it was turbo by May, then it was V8 Swapped by the following January. It's had a crazy life!
But its about to get crazier, we are doing a 2JZ Swap now!

To be honest, this is the swap I wanted to do all along, but after reading horror stories about cutting up the car and modifying the fire wall and what not, I bailed and did the V8 swap. That was a great experience and I had a blast with it, but now it's time to do what I wanted in the first place - Put Japanese Power back in the car!

Rather than show you countless engine build pics and piles of parts, and how to build a 2jz properly, I decided to do it the other way around, make sure it all fits and get all the technical stuff out of the way first, then once I'm sure it all goes together well, the last step will be building the engine.

For starters I wanted to see if the engine would fit in there with the junky stock Toyota twins, I was not disappointed!

Next step is going to be trying to make my intake manifold fit. Saying its a big plenum is a slight understatement! Its a custom setup coupled with a Wilson 90mm throttle body. No restrictions allowed!

Tomorrow we will be test fitting our turbo manifold and new turbo!

Turbo Manifold Arrived Today!

And I test fitted the intake manifold today! Going to have issues with brake booster fitment with this monster!

Small updates!

Test fitted our new Drag86 Wheel Setup

And started organizing/simplifying the engine bay! Also started working on the down pipe!

Stay tuned! Thanks for Looking!

Scroll Down for our turbo setup pics and V8 swap pics!

Pure Automotive sexiness.. love your car!! It's my inspiration, lol.

When you guys were working on my springs, I ninja'd a few shots of awesomeness that was chilling outside the shop.

Never managed to pull the post by weapon grenade but you can call and ask

It was something in the lines of "you have been banned because you ruined the car" or something in that context. I guess the admins are fa20 supporters and don't like the idea ?

Seriously? There are many more ways to ruin the car without swap.
