going forced induction
I plan on going with forced induction soon (most likely supercharged) so my question is if i should go with a header or wait for the forced induction kit and go with the manifold that comes with the kit? I already have a test pipe and catback. Sorry if this question is elementary. Thanks for the input guys!

If you're going turbo you will get a header with it. At least with the AVO you do. Don't know whether you would want to keep the stock catted unit with any other kit.
With SC, do whatever you want to open up the engine.

Yeah a SC just changes the intake manifold, so you're free to mod your exhaust just like you would NA. If the SC bolts up to the OEM intake (such as innovatives) you can get an upgraded intake as well.
If you go turbo I wouldn't buy anything because you'll get an exhaust manifold for the turbo and an intake. You'll also want a full 3" exhaust.

I thought the exhaust ports are 2.5" where the header bolts on, so widening beyond the narrowest point is ineffectual on back pressure.

vortech supercharger looks very appealing. apparently some good gains so perrin is stating. i wonder if john @Visconti will be able to do something with this.

I just checked and full blowns kit comes with a 3" dp so you'd need to make a reducer to run it with a 2.5" system and it wont be as free flowing.

The P&L, Avo and accelerated kits all run 2.5 exhaust just fine i'm pretty sure full blown is the only 3" but they use the same basic kit parts for the base and premium kits. It's all about designed upgradeability.
That's also why P&L put the vband on their header. It allows you to upgrade to their turbo without you having to buy a new one.

I think the full blown makes more power than avo and p&l too I could be wrong though. I know when I go fi itll be a fullblown stage 1 with the upgraded turbo so I wont plan on keeping any 2.5" exhaust parts I buy.

Just food for thought.
Accelerated's kit (EDIT: also Ptuning's kit) retains the stock exhaust manifold. So any aftermarket header should work with that kit, if you choose Turbo.
