Thanks bud! Yes it was the dark grey, same as what's on every stock 2017 86.

I went to Michaels and bought one from there that worked on both whites and blacks. I'll send you a pic later today of the pen - or you can just use mine and save $7.

Not sure when I'll be coming out to a meet next, so I think I'll get one for me. I got an ebay pen but it's not too red and as it dries, it fades even more, so it's like a dried oxblood colour rather than a full out red. Yours looks RED!

Haha alright. I'll send you a pic of the pen when I go out for lunch.

That came out great. Unfortunately on the 17's the embroidery on the dash is black thread.

Thanks, I appreciate it!

The dash is the 2017 panel, I swapped out my 2014. I used a fabric paint pen that works on both light and dark coloured stitching/fabric, so it showed red even though the original threads were almost black.

Thank you!

Most definitely, it would work on the white-coloured interior stitching of the 2017 with ease. However looks like you are all good, since you have a 2014 like me

Managed to snag my favorite parking space today: right in front of my building, behind the hydrant zone so no one can park in front of me (read: back into me - it happened before).

Yeah, I know. Soooo thrilling

I don't see why not. It's a paint pen, so it will just repaint your existing stitching. The one I used is called DecoFabric and it says it works for light or dark colours. I'm sure they have a black one as there were lots of them when I picked the red one up from my local Michaels.

@DarkPhoenix

It's the little things. I know how good it feels to get a spot that feels safe (although people never cease to surprise me...).

Did the 60k service, tire rotation, oil change and cabin air filter change.

Feels like a brand new car again
