This one is a hatchback. Last one was hatch. The one before that was a sedan. The one before that was hatchback, iirc.

Yup. My friend had an 08' Civic type R, the sedan. We lived in Okinawa at the time. That thing was awesome, so much fun.

He sold it to buy a Volvo SUV that he could actually bring back to the states when he moved, pffftt. Who needs that responsible thinking crap.

Just my opinion but it is rather ugly (and without the rally heritage that justifies ugly Subarus).

I can't see a reason to get this over any of the competitors in its price range (Focus RS, Golf R, STI). Nurburgring times don't really matter to me and all of the competition at least offers AWD.

Come to think of it, I'd actually rather drive a DC2 Integra R or EK Civic R for their lighter weight, double wishbone front suspension and screaming NA engines. Just seems like it'd be more fun.

Not a fan of Honda's but I won't flame it.

I like the front bumper design and the seats but need to get use the rear design of the new civics but other than that looks good in white to me.

For $35k why would you not get an STI instead? Can anyone sell me on this FWD car?

I wouldn't spend 35k on either car (until STI changes the motor there's no way I'm paying that). I guess it's one of those things until you drive it don't knock it type deals.

Honda reliability is a vestige of the past. For the past 10 years Hondas just have not been great. Forget the 90s, Honda has changed.

Honda has a hatchback, nicer interior, it's lighter, and probably faster too I would think?

It's no secret that Honda automatic transmissions from around 2000-2010 sucked hardcore. It seems like they have focused more on quality control in the last couple of years though.

Not going to try to sell you since I know it would be wasted time but there are many very good performance FWD cars out there and have been for many years.
