Passenger Side Window Doesn't Work

So, I've had my drivers side window quit working-ish already once, it wouldn't roll back up when the door was shut, but would roll up manually once the car was running. Turns out that a fuse had vibrated out somehow.

Now, my passenger side window doesn't roll up when the door shuts & the switch for it on the drivers side is completely dead. It will only roll up and down from the passenger side. It ain't a fuse this time, not sure what the hell it is and frankly don't want to take it to the incompetent assholes at Northside Toyota/Scion.

Anyone have this happen to them or know what it could be? Also, anyone in the Chicago area know if Grossinger is any better?

It's in limp mode. Reprogram your window controls using this technique:

Quote:
Put car to on, engine off. Push and hold button down until window rolls down and you hear a click. Then hold window button up until it rolls up and you hear a click.

Awesome, thanks... saves me a trip to the dealership.

Last time I was there they tried telling me that installing a strut brace & grimspeed oil cap would void my warranty.

You're most welcome. I did this to my car last night. It's a common event when your sealing rubber stick to the glass in the cold, or when you start unplugging stuff.

Sounds like you need to find another dealer. I'm lucky to have about five within range of a tank of gas. My tuner has former dealer employees and they still have a tight connection with the dealership. I'm not too worried.

That's exactly when this crap started happening, I park on the street in Chicago so my car has been covered in snow for the past two months & yeah, I do need a new dealership. The only reason I gave this place a chance in the first place was because it was a two block walk from my house.

When resetting I believe you need to make sure your doors are shut. I can't speak from experience here.
