+1 on that. I am expecting a nice step up (Stage 2 UEL) with Shiv's custom tune once I have all the pieces installed, running 94+ octane really helps. I got a nice compare the other week when my local station was out of 100 for like a week. Had to run 91 and the car slowly dialed back to just "good" instead of fantastic. Once back to 94+ within 30-40 miles it picked right back up. This car loves octane. I would fill up with 100 but my wallet she cries...

Stage II UEL 91 Octane off the shelf OFT
OFH UEL + Grimmspeed Intake
3rd gear pull

http://tinyurl.com/Koa-3rdpull-OFHplusGSIntake

AFR at 11.25, low LTFT, no knock, hoping to scale MAF and dial in everything else. Could I get some feedback? Tuner noob relative to a lot of ya'll here.

Could re-check the intake filter's distance from MAF flange, as it needs to be exactly 1 inch difference there for best performance.

If you scale maf on stage 2 tunes its going to run a lot leaner top end as the afr will follow the OL fuel table , like its supposed to. however on anything but the best fuel your going to get knock once you get near 12 afr top end. the rich mix buys you knock resistance. carnt remember off top of my head but think ol fuel table top high 11 afr stage 2 petrol tunes. Im pretty sure the OFT guys do this on purpose so the tunes are safe on all fuels even 91.

you could probably shoot for 11.8 top end and still be pretty safe, 11.3 is pretty rich. for an NA motor. if you go leaner than high 11 then keep a good watch on knock when everything is hot and you rearly start to need a dyno to see you not starting to loose power.

Iv'e been running this intake with UEL header and e85 for a while now. Haven't noticed anything crazy. It does run a bit rich from what I've seen. I took a couple logs tonight to post up if anyone is curious how the car runs with this intake and tune.

I've taken my first shot at logging AFR data with the GS intake this morning to familiarize myself with the process, so far it seems pretty straight forward (big shoutout to steve99). For the best source of data, how long do I need to be recording the data, and in what conditions? By conditions I mean freeway driving, street, etc. Hopefully what I log within the next week or so is informative to the rest of the GS crowd

If your doing maf scaling using the VGI utility then you need

At least 30 minutes of smooth driving at varying loads and rpm. Racer-X on/off throttle and WOT is no good. Backroads are good for this and a bit of freeway stuff is good as well. Your trying to log data when ECU is in closed loop mode this happens at steady throttle .

Then at least 3 runs 2000 to redline at WOT in second or preferably 3rd gear . for the Open loop data.

@Shiv@Openflash I e-mailed you a couple weeks back regarding the GrimmSpeed intake tune files. Just wondering if you received them or not? Please let me know!

If your stage 1 tune its easy to make your own

their are only two tables different between grimspeed stage 1 and original v2xx oft stage1 tune
tables are

PRIMARY OL FUEL TABLE
MAF SCALING

see 700G rom zip file attached, use romraider to compare this one to the oft sage1 700G map and you will see. use the definitions from oft site for V2.xxx tunes.

then just copy and paste those two changed tables into your rom calid map

WARNING: This is only for stage1 oft maps. Stage 2 maps both petrol and E85 have offset maf scaling and different PRIMARY OL FUEL TABLES. You need to do a bit more work to get the grimspeed intake working correctly on stage 2 maps

enjoy your grimspeed intake tune

File Type: zip Stage 1 Grimmspeed 700G.zip (478.0 KB, 171 views)

Thanks so much for providing this google docs link for the 700G GS Intake tune. Unfortunately, I'm not having much luck getting the link to work. When I click it, a new browser window opens up, but the window is empty. Am I missing something simple that would allow me to download the 700G ROM from your google docs link? As you suggested, I just want to open this ROM up in RomRaider and compare it to other tune files that I have.
