P0700 CODE AFTER OFT TUNE (AT TRANS)

i have read this always happen to automatic frs to tune with oft but i was wondering what is the solution for this cause i reset it back to stock and still showing codes
i also cleared it with oft and it came back after 20 miles of driving
if anybody knows the fix for this it will be greatly appreciated
i know my transmission is not shot or anything it only happened after oft reflash

It just a code that is caused by the ecu and auto trans computers not talking during the reflash process.

A couple of drive cycles it should come good.

OFT wont clear trans computer codes only ECU codes, if you have torque app and obd dongle torque app will clear it.

Or just remove battery terminal , press brake pedal and reconnect, but you will loose your audio system setting, clock etc settings that way.

no need for dealer mate, its all good happens almost every time you flash auto cars.

nothing wrong its just due to the interruption to communications between the auto computer and the engine ecu during the flash process.

don't panic :-)

Unplug whatever you have in the obd port because the connection is rubbish.

It should never happen on its own unless there's something wrong with the canbus.

Never connect or disconnect anything while the car is running.

Yea I currently have the same problem. Just flashed back to stock for a dealer visit about my crickets tomorrow and now I have this check engine light. Not the best situation huh?

From what I've read so far, it's caused by unplugging while ignition is on. Very well could be my case as I've cleared the code and drove it for a bit and everything seems fine.

2016 SCION FRS Automatic Transmission OFT

I own a 2016 Scion FRS Automatic Transmission.

I will be installing tomei expreme uel catless header this coming Friday.

In order to prep, I went ahead and read my stock tune on the OFT.

After I was done reading the stock tune, a CEL appeared. Is it to be expected a CEL will appear after each time you use the OFT on an automatic transmission FRS? I’ve heard from other posts this CEL will go away after a couple drives.

Now that the CEL is on, there is a jerk every time I am coming to a complete stop. Is this normal as well with the CEL on? (Is this what LIMP MODE is?)

Weird throttle response is normal, every time you reflash the ECU or even leave the battery disconnected for long enough, the car has to re-learn certain parameters. It goes away after a few days of driving.
