Oil leak coming from passenger side
Hi everyone,
I have found oil on the passenger side of the header bolt. Pictures are shown below! Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks! My guess is the cam plate! Last edited by scion fr-s; 04-01-2019 at 07:11 PM. |

Yep, I'd start by resealing/replacing the cam plate (if your car has a MT).

I would spray it clean and start monitoring it closely to find out exactly where is it coming from before doing any work.

Looking at the pictures, it seems more like it's coming from the passenger rear, rather than the front. My vote goes to cam seal.

It is the valve cover! I am going to call dealership tomorrow and make an appointment. FYI I still have a warranty!

Me too. Haven't had oil on the garage floor in a week of steady driving and no noticeable drop on the dipstick. I'll drop the pan in another week or so and see what I've got.
