You want a vert go get a 350z roadster, Solstice or S2000. I don't even want a sun roof.

The only problem I had was the rubbish about convertibles. And there are already photos of the Toyota Roadster on this forum.

Honestly, too many varients of this car would be a disaster; a convertible, a sedan version, wagon etc. Some cars can pull it off and it's shouldn't be this vehicle.

I have the feeling that the sedan version would be very different compared to the coupe. Probably like the Honda Accord coupe compared to the sedan version.

I have a feeling they might, depending on how much $$$ they spent to develop the vehicle. Selling more vehicles using the 86 platform will help offset the production cost. Porsche's thinking about a coupe Panamera b/c they spent so much money making the sedan, why waste money building a whole new car?
There's a rumor that the next gen Lexus IS will ride on the FT-86 platform, maybe we'll have a Altezza/1st-gen IS thing going on. Rumors rumors rumors. |

Honestly, there is no point to make a sedan version for the car, convertible is meh. If the company think that they spend too much money on the R&D, they can use the chassis to develop a new sedan/wagon/watever or replace the existing model's chassis. Toyota use Camry's Chassis for almost everything in the line up, so they can do the same to FT-86's Chassis. I don't see why not. |
