What should the FR-S sound like?

Should it sound like an Italian or Indian Ferrari?

I wonder if we will get the sound conveyance path from the engine to the cabin; like what was done in the LFA by Yamaha?

You should post this on a new thread. It's interesting that they would engineer the acoustics for the engine.

Then the LFA and the SLS fanboys can have another discussion on Toyota vs Mercedes-Benz.

It can be done on cars cheaper than the LFA (to a lesser extent obviously). It's not as systematic, but with the right intake (JWT popcharger) this engine sounds amazing.

It would be nice to hear more of the engine during hard acceleration, but JWT popchargers only make it noisier. I had a CAI for about a week before I sold it. I know what the AFE intake system sounds like and it's just noise.

You can tell when the VVTi has advanced the cam during acceleration. It would be nice if that was more pronounced, not loud.

That's only on certain turbocharged Subarus that get the burble. The N/A alll have an equal length header so it will sound like a deeper, raspier inline 4.

Did you have it on a single intake or dual intake model? I have it with the dual intakes and this thing sounds like pure sex. Sounds like a high revving muscle car. I just wish it was as fast as it sounds, or that there was at least a noticeable HP gain from them. If I get bored this week I'll see if I can get a vid up.

I was afraid of that. Do the UEL headers have the same effect on the N/A variants? I just don't want a whiny 4.

Single intake, single VVTi. I didn't know Toyota has a dual intake.
