Heads up - Oil sandwich plate

For those of you out there who want to know how to easily tap into the oil system for pressure and temp, here's the easy way!

Order this from Fensport UK:

http://www.fensport.co.uk/Parts/Mode...tegory_16/4696

It's GT86 specific and accounts for the lip around the oil filter seat. I ordered the GReddy sandwich plate but the ports don't clear the rim around where the oil filter sits. This one fits perfectly and also situates the ports so that they will clear the random hoses, lines, and AC compressor.

I mated mine with this:

http://www.smyperformance.com/index....ation-kit.html

Prosport oil pressure sender relocation hose for a WRX. You won't need the galley plug, but the line and mounting bracket will help you move the pressure sender into a spot with a bit more room. You could always make your own, but this came with mounting hardware and a fitting for like $35.

I hope this helps save someone from the same frustrations I had with the GReddy plate!

Sorry to hear you ran into trouble with the GReddy unit but great part referencing.

To add to your informative post, I have the Blitz oil cooler and it comes with almost the same sandwich adapter. The only difference is mine has additional ports on the front for the -10 oil cooler lines. The sensor ports are also there but plugged with sealant until ready to be used.

For those in North America or pretty much wherever, I'm sure any authorized Blitz dealer can get that part or may even stock them. It's #19235 in the Blitz catalog called "Oil Sensor Attachment Type HS". 65mm is listed as the inner spindle diameter. http://www.blitz.co.jp/products/mete...ttachment.html

Excuse the small IG sized pic but you can see my setup has the sandwich plate as high as the oil filler cap...

@protpibe, How is the sandwich plate holding up bro? Any leaks? I'm undecided between this and the beatrush oil sandwich plate. The Blitz type HS has 1 o-ring while the beatrush has 2 o-rings.

It's awesome, no leaks whatsoever. The GReddy plate also came with 2 o-rings but you're only supposed to use the one that fits the base plate it screws down onto.

The Blitz was zero fuss and no compromises as it was designed for the GT86. The ports are aligned so that the temp/pressure probes won't contact anything around the oil filter. I'm assuming the TRD is similarly designed

can these be used to create a DIY oil cooler? I have no desire to spend $500 plus when in all reality it is simply a way to tap into the oil system, some lines and AN fittings which I can make, and a small cooler...

Cool! I'll probably go with your suggestion then. I'm a bit curious however. When you bought the sandwich plate, did it have 1/8 PT or 1/8 NPT threads? The Blitz UK site stated that it's 1/8 NPT but the Japanese website said that it's 1/8 PT. Both have the same part number (19235) though.

See how these raise the ports up as an example
