Agency Power over-pipe/front pipe combo question...

1 - I assume there's no O2 sensor in the pipe right? IE you lose the secondary O2 sensor completely.

2 - is that a cat in the center or a resonator?

1- not sure, but I think both O2 sensors are in the header

I'd be wary about buying AP stuff. I don't trust slip joints like that ever since a forum member had massive problems with their AP catback that used similar fittings. To top it off AP got some terrible PR for handling that customer.

No o2 sensors in the overpipe or front pipe but I wouldn't touch the AP, Motiv offers such a nice setup and they have a package deal going right now too.

I don't see why you can't just tack weld the slip fit area.
As long as the flange welds are fine, the rest of the pipe should be fine.

should is the key word there. When spending $$$ on an exhaust it should be R&D to work right out of the box

Why should you have to weld anything? The product is advertised as bolt-on and as such should not require any welding. However AP has been proven previously that their joints are not up to snuff and require extra re-enforcement...so why bother.

There are so many other options out there that have already been properly R&D'ed for the same price or less. Some have already been mentioned in this thread such as the Motiv as well as others like Perrin, Invidia, Nameless, and Ark just to name a few.

As others have stated, stay clear of Agency Power...there are reasons people are telling you to avoid them like the plague and it's good reasons. If one person in this thread was telling you to avoid them it would be one thing...maybe that one person had a grudge, but EVERYONE in this thread is telling you to avoid them...THAT should tell you something.

I can't think of ANY combo of over-pipe and catless front pipe for less than $400. The cheapest up-pipe I'm aware of is $250, and cheapest front pipe I've seen is $200.

And while I won't argue with you that the cat-backs are bad (as I haven't used one in the last 5 years), the only joint on this piece is the one I'd weld, there's no hangars to break, etc. as long as the flanges are good, tac welding it (which again, is free for me) will solve it. And it is cheaper than any other combo.

If you want to spend a little more I'll get you the motiv ones at a good price just to support a company that is building quality parts for the platform.

Quality materials also that will last.

Why not just save up a little more and get a quality one. Itll save you headaches down the line. Couple less months of suffering for a liftetime of satisfaction with the car.

I would honestly choose Megans parts over AP's. I think they designed a cat back for this car why not check them out if they have anything your looking for. AP's parts IMO are just over priced Megan parts.

Seven, look at FA20club, their exhaust components are around that price.
