Places to do shoots in NYC
This one was in Restaurant Depot lot in Queens,NY overlooking the NYC skyline

brooklyn bridge park, not sure if you can find parking there since they took out one of the parking lots a while back for reconstruction for luxury condos.
coast areas of Staten island, more like south west residential area with good drop offs to the ocean view 1 place near southwest SI like this 40.5283676,-74.2420108, copy paste the coordinates into google maps check out breezy point but not sure if they will let you in their town..try to find some gates open and go into their gated neighborhoods..might not take too likely if you fly a drone edit: most of these nice views wont be seen in google maps since google maps is outdated

Go over the GWB to Fort Lee, and down to Palisades Interstate Park.
 Go in the morning to get the right shadows. I can never get out there early enough.
