I would recommend keeping the lean, my turbo is on the large side and it fits, there is plenty of room for header and down pipe.
In the sway bar picture I would recommend grinding that bolt boss down for a little extra clearance its on the engine.

Some more good info I found by a guess is the white loop on the wiring that is between the turbo and head is for the timing light. Pulley has a tdc 14, 16 and 18 btdc marks

Check out the Miata K Swap (KMiata) Honda valve covers; they have one where the front part is shaved down so the Miata hood closes without having to cut a hole in it like they used to. It MIGHT work for you.

Wow easy! One of exhaust sensors is 12.5 off but it zeros when the duty maxes out

Ok so this is how it zeros it just runs until the duty cycle is maxed and then it just zeros that cam. If you have gotten lucky and your cam is almost zero it says its ok its zeroed without running the duty cycle up. I'm sure if you have the codes on it will throw it when the duty cycle gets to high.

Zerod in 10 seconds after flashing warm

Also if anybody attempts this, use the honda cam sensors. The subaru ones are very finicky, as I couldn't get them to work in the same location on the crank as the honda sensors while engine was running.
