It might be hard to find a paintshop to do it for you. I asked EVERYWHERE in my area in WA and they all kept saying No. Half of them didn't even understand what I asking in the first place. And someone told me at one of them that it's illegal to modify them. (Not exactly true.)

I ended up doing them myself and they turned out pretty good, but I want to redo them since they are a little too dark. But if you try it and don't like it the VHT comes off super easy if you just spray it with Carb Cleaner. It doesn't hurt the plastic either.

Is there a major decrease in the visibility of the brake lights and turn signals when stock lights are painted/tinted red? I really want to get them done but don't want to make it hard for other drivers to see me.

Here's my smoke redout taillight overlay with 60% tint. Light shines through just fine .
