I'm getting together with Kyle after work and will try to get an exhaust sound clip for everyone to hear
I posted a sound clip as a comment on that post

Hi, I'm a combo of busy and lazy lately. Plans are to do a cool little video down a mountain road soon but between working out of town m-f every week and some busy weekends ahead my fun/cool video wont happen until November.

Header fit great and even on my first revision of my tune the car drives great. the torque dip is gone.

Who is doing your tuning? JDL or 3rd party shop? OFT or ecutek?

Oh wow.. Gotta keep an eye on this. How much clearance do you have to the pulley? Looks like less than an inch from just eyeballing the pic.

there's plenty of clearance everywhere. I'll see if i can snap a decent phone pic during lunch today of header to pulley clearance.

HRi tuning is still underway. I finally got a chance to do a WOT pull for him this morning and wow. I'm pleasantly surprised with the super broad powerband. Super smooth and consistent power thru the rev range.

I picked up a new GoPro 7 Black this weekend. If the fancy new mic on it is decent i'll post a video/audio clip later this week. If it sucks i'll have to order a replacement mic as my old gopro mic setup, that was used for the original Dezod exhaust video during Tougefest 2014, fell victim to water damage being clipped to my license plate a few years back.

Tons of room on crank pulley. Roughly a finger width to actually pulley and 1/4" or so to timing cover.

I'm glad JDL updated the design for the EL. The 4-1 design just has too much any issues IMO. I have them and while they are more fun than the stock header, I'm just not feeling it. The clearance with the crank pulley always sketches me out. And one of my fan plugs melted all over the secondary header pipe. Just in general, having that part come up than down just adds so much heat to the engine bay and the air intake hose. Partially my fault of course for not coating them, but that's life.

I don't believe this is an update. I believe this is in addition to the existing offerings. A 4-2-1 and a 4-1 will have different goals in mind. My car is a daily driver and mountain toy so mid range torque is a priority. The 4-1 header would make more peak hp by design. There is a ton of information comparing the two designs on honda-tech as 4-1 vs tri-y has been a huge debate forever but each has it's purpose.

Not wrapping or coating a header in this engine bay is a poor decision. I actually sold a PLM longtube header and the guy that put it on his car had a fan connector melt on him as well.

Once Delicious Tuning comes out with a dedicated tune, I might pull the trigger

Those canned tunes have been having less than desirable results from what I've seen lately. Delicious does great if you're spending the time at their shop to go thru a full tune but the canned tunes seem very meh. Contact HRi Tuning about getting an etune thru Atlanta speed company. I'm pleasantly surprised with how fast we've progressed. Once he figures mine out I'm sure it'll be even quicker.
