No it doesn't and there is a weird noise that it makes now. The voltage display is blank when the car is turned on and the system is on and when the car is off, but the ignition is in ON, the voltage jumps all over the place. Ugh, did I just scrap my entire ESC because the controller is toast? It doesn't look like it is being supported anymore.

Yeah most likely it's done. And you probably won't get a response back from either. Sorry man you are outta luck.

The thing is;": the controller is just an rc controller with voltage controls. You may find someone who could fix it.

Ugh, complete bummer. I may be able to try my hand and repairing it as I've done some work with electronics. Thanks for the response Sojhinn.

Sojhinn,

Is there any chance of getting in touch with fenton or Robftss or have they completely pulled out of the effort and there no production support for the Phantom ESC aside from the community?

This is just a guess, but, I wouldn't be surprised if the tech hadn't been purchased and that purchase had included an NDA (non disclosure agreement)

Given that @fenton was so helpful in the past, it would explain the sudden silence?

It's too bad we don't have a schematic or parts list. Most likely a DIP chip or two got fried.

Googling a generic ESC controller schematic, they don't look too complicated, but our box should also have the battery charger circuitry inside. If you open the case and take pictures we would learn a little more.

I would guess it is a single layer circuit board, and I doubt any traces would have been the week link, so the cca is probably fine. It likely has off the shelf components, so you should be able to get replacement chips for just a few bucks. The only problem could come from any custom programmed chips.

Has anyone here tried running shivs flex fuel kit with the esc if so did you need a custome tune for it or did it work fine with the original esc tunes. Also having the procede installed do you run the risk of over heating the esc since its constantly producing boost?

ESC will not be running all the time. Depending on your procede tune, engine load and throttle imput it may not come on at all in normal driving.

Procede, to me, just makes the BRZ feel like it has a larger engine, transforms and integrates the ESC to the car. Well worth the investment.

So does it require a different tune than the orignal tunes from when the esc was developed? I guess since i already have the esc installed and the car is on the oft tune can I just install and the ecu will know what to do?

The procede uses it's own tune.

There are a number of tunes and modified tunes available (check owners thread)

I'm running a modded tune from "keen as" which is excellent. Sojhinn has a great tune as well.
