If you got them without tuners I still thought it was quite a price difference. Maybe that's changed with more of them being made / shipped and current rates.
Harrop w/o tuner is around $4700 plus shipping, so they're both in the ballpark. See this thread at post 20.

Food for thought: I was interested in both the JR and the Harrop but ended up with Edelbrock for the following reasons:

-Suits my driving, "mid" range power useful for passing on the freeway with out down shifting, etc.
-"Kick in the pants feeling" which I don't think I felt driving a JR (more of a gradual build then noticing "oh shit I'm going really fast!")
-Tech support (nice to have a direct number to call, in the same time zone)
-Already available (Harrop was not released at that time)

Reasons to consider Jackson over Harrop
-cheaper
-lots already out there, so thoroughly tried and tested (can't say the same for the Harrop...yet!)
-Good support (same comments as Edelbrock)

So I suggest you go with... HARROP! Blaze the trail buddy!

If I recall, Harrop also has a front mounted intercooler, so if you do end up going with them after trying the JR, you will have to figure out where to mount the oil cooler, like the bottom mount that Harrop offers.

Thanks for the input! And yes you are correct about the oil cooler problem... Just another pain in the ass potentially too.

Thus, I have some reservations. Maybe @CSG Mike has more insight?

Harrop's hoses actually have these really nicely thought out cobra clamps and clips that hold all 4 of the formed hoses for the IC coolant. I actually thought it was a neat touch that they made sure to use such secure mounting. Our cars already have a bunch of spaghetti on them with the AC lines and wires. The lower form factor and black finish really makes it look like it's a totally stock engine bay... with the massive gain of a supercharger helping the engine consume air. If it wasn't for the words "SUPERCHARGED" written on each IC housing, you'd never guess the car received a major upgrade in power.

My PTuning headers also keep the visual appeal of "stock" since they do not sweep up. If you really want to splurge, I guess you could go for the ACE header that was designed for SC. I'm not sure of the apples comparison between headers after SC since it's not as important.

Btw, I went for a Clutch Masters FX350 clutch with included flywheel. It comes in 7 lbs lighter than stock as a whole unit and is a bit tricky to drive unless you're used to modified cars and snappy clutches. I'd recommend going with something that can hold the tq but keeps stock weight to keep the drivability factor.

As far as oil coolers, I'd recommend the jackson racing one or other models that can mount on the crash bar or in the radiator. I've seen a few people in wrxs ruin their vehicles after accidental offroading incidents that tore out their cooler. The IC core is pretty beefy. I have some caliper measurements somewhere on a pad of paper, but I believe it's slightly larger than edelbrocks. It's annodized black too, which is a really nice touch.

Properly duct your radiator and intake piping, and the higher temps are not an issue.

TBH, I wouldn't worry too much about oil cooling until you start monitoring your oil temps, you might find that the forester OEM oil cooler option may suffice. I built my own custom oil cooler since I had the parts, which performed well at the track, but I'm finding that its over cooling on regular freeway driving.

I would agree. As much as I like the looks of the edelbrock, I think harrop did a pretty good job aswell. Its more like edelbrock "tucked away" theirs while Harrop "tidied it up". Both look OEM-ish imho

True. My main concern was shipping (GA, USA) and reliability. But they seem to have quite the reputation. I'll be running Tomei EL headers, OP/FP, and 80r exhaust. Oh, and corn
