On a side note got back from the track on 93 octane which I will like never run again just have a tank full for the tuning. Just wanted to go to the track since temps are in the 50s...e85 this weekend yay!

14.2 @ 99.0 so ok... its faster than NA on e85 where I would trap 96-97mph.
I'm a little surprised at the small difference between the NA (E85) and ESC times and trap speeds. I wonder how much traction must be affecting this comparison. My older Toyota Camry V-6 auto, runs so far ahead of a stock car of the same vintage, that it looks like the stocker is pulling a 1500lb trailer. My Camry actually runs pretty close to modern 268hp, 6spd automatic Camry, which can easily dip down into the mid 14 second 1/4 mile range. It starts out in the high 15's!

Well it's only +40whp. That time was on 93. On e85 I hit 13.8 @ 101. Temp was about 50-55F. Hoping for another "cold" night soon in FL. To try to get better times.

Traction is an issue even NA. I have PSS tires which are good for summer driving. They are no drag radials...best 60' is 2.15. A 2.0 would get me 13.5.

Remember to 268 crank is 210-230 whp.

Small gains in ET and trap speed take lots of extra HP, the right tires and a nice low weight. In our cars it takes around 290 WHP with good tires and a decent driver to throw down sub 13 second ETs. The Phantom ESC won't touch that until the TQ300 becomes a reality (if ever). The 1/4 mi thread has more than a handful of builds and drag slips to take a peek at for reference. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7613

I posted a comparison of 86 + TQ250 Phantom ESC vs typical modern competitors in the 1/4 mi in the Phantom owner's thread. Take a peek at it when you get a chance. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...&postcount=559

Sorry, no shame really in your initial numbers with the ESC! It takes time to learn how to use additional power (and particularly torque) to make good 1/4mile times and ET's.

It's a learning process that can greatly affect numbers. only a few of the best cars of the Muscule car rage time, ever hit the same ET's that you have already. Only a tiny number of those cars ever did 13 second 1/4 miles in street driving trim.

It's not really what the car is all about, but it's a neat neat play to show off it's potential to a lot of enthusiasts, that might not pay any attention if they didn't see that it can actually roast some pretty serious pavement, along with being a great handling ride.

Straight line numbers are all that matter to some in the auto enthusiast world, but that doesn't mean that it isn't a worthy developement area for the more rounded driver. I recently found myself a guy with an absolutelty beautiful LS7, 454 Chevelle. I hit the throttle on him after a green light, and it took him until 40mph to catch me. Then he walked away like a 12 second car... but, he apparently forgot to put his gas cap on, because he was splashing high octane gas all over the road as he went by! Must have gotten about 0.2mpg on that run.

I find the effects of a very different power curve to be very interesting in the daily driving experience. My car starts out with a baseline of about 210hp at 5200rpm, in NA form. Now with the Phantom supercharger it must hit that number at a much lower RPM, Maybe it hits 235 at 5200 now. It also has 200ft/lbs at 4200RPM in NA form, so when I hit it at 2500RPM, what do I get? (previous dyno numbers would suggest 260-270ft/lbs) What are the over-all effects of this power/torque increase in output? How much NA power (with its lower output curves) would it take to re-produce my performance outcomes?

210hp at 5200rpm, in NA form? Are you being hypothetical? Because the power peak is around 6.5-7K on the FA20...

If you have requests in to Rob or I we will be trying to get to them all before Friday. For those simply adding to the list please be assured that you will not be missed but you may not get a PM back right away.

Another small update. There was a issue with Rob's inbox where everything got deleted. There were some unanswered PM's that he did not get to. If you have requested to be added to the list in the last month or so and do not see yourself on this list please PM again. Ill work on generating another list before the weekend as well.

Cheers all!

Oh sweet.. that list isn't too long and I'm not at the bottom. So might only be a couple of years wait.

Does anyone know any problems I'm going to run into being RHD with this kit?
