Extra packages i financed with my Fr-s. . .
Alright so i have been some what keeping up with this forum and what i have seen is alot of you talking about how you got a door ding, or your seats are starting to come unstitched etc.My question is when you bought your frs/brz/86 did they offer you any care packages. When i got mine i paid an extra four grand and got packages for dent removal, interior repair such on the seats if they come un stitched or stained(lol), curb checking the rims they'll fix it, if the paint fading they'll repaint it, tire coverage, extended toyota care for all my maintenance. all these services if needed will be free of charge. So in all i financed 32,000 but i have already used my dent repair twice and both times they have done an outstanding job. They came to my work and fixed it in the parking lot.The guy was saying he knows the ones who do the interior work and the rim work, and that they all do the same.Did any one else get this or even heard of this?

It wasn't offered to me, though I wouldnt have purchased any sort of care package. So far, I've been lucky enough not to need it. I hope my luck continues.

Ill have to look into all the coverage I got. I think I only got the tire and rim and extended warranty. The only other thing offered was the windshield repair.

Only thing that was offered to me was some kind of clear coating, which I did not buy. I'm not too worried about it - it's a $25k daily driver that gets autocrossed, it's not like this thing is a priceless exotic or something. It'll be paid off and probably replaced in 3 years anyway.
I wash it and take care of it mechanically, other than that I'm not worried about too much. Definitely not real interested in spending $4k getting non-performance extras on a car that's under $30k to begin with (not that I'm judging OP for doing it). |

Wait if you curb your rims its covered? I got some type of warranty called protect all. Covers the paint and interior. I'm not sure about the rims tho.

Paid 400 for 5 years dent removal. I figure I get one dent and it's already paid for itself.

youre still over the ~27k out the door price we should all have. these dealers get the first real sports car toyota makes in years and they think they can price it however they want. and sadly they still seem to convince people its worth more than 25k.

The only options I paid for was the Whiteout paint and gap insurance on my manual FR-S. they tried to sell me all that crap but I know from experience it isn't worth it.

Um, seats becoming unstiched, paint fading sounds like something that should be covered under warranty if it's in the time period. Other stuff is either user error (curb rash, spilling stuff), other human error (dings/etc), general wear items (tires), and free basic service. Unless of course they're gonna give you new tires when yours go bald/puncture. How long do these "warranties" last? Sounds like they ripped you off.
