Or sometimes they somehow manage to slip through and graduate anyway, but when they get out into the real world their inability to actually solve problems is revealed. I've worked with a few of those

Nice! Cops generally don't show up for court, or so I've been told. I've been pulled over once and just decided to pay the fine. Granted, this was almost 6 years ago, so that's not even on my license any more.

Depends on the jurisdiction. State cops almost always show up here; the rest it just depends on the cop and court. Today cop didn't show up and it was instantly thrown out. My father was telling me how one time when a cop didn't show up the court (in another county) made him wait it out until he showed up 30 minutes later.
