Had a great last track day in AZ. I got the second best time but I was holding back my rotors heated up to just under 900 degrees after I set my best time in the first session and my brakes get here Monday. I can't wait to get out to Michigan and track with you guys we had 12 fr-s/brz show and and some great drivers.

The Grattan track day this weekend was awesome. Lot of track time, not too many people per run group. This was by the Windy City BMWCCA organization and I thought it was pretty well-managed and on time.

But anyway, what A TRACK!!! The elevation changes, the hill, the off-camber turns, the bumps, it's an awesome track and I highly recommend a track day there if you get a chance.

By the way, @kask2_6.0, do you have enough time to brake after the hill? I was carrying so much after a few sessions that it was hard to slow down enough for the sweeper. I imagine it might be harder for two wheels.

Are you talking about the hill at the track entrance? You do have enough time to brake after the hill (once car is settled) it just takes quite a bit of commitment. For me that section is actually easier on two wheels. The brakes on a bike are far better and you enter that corner A LOT faster.

Glad you liked the track

I went with auto tint city. They seem to do good work and offer some top quality films for a decent price. Lifetime warranties are always nice too. It was like 299 to do my ST (all windows except windshield) in the film that reflects heat as well as UV.

How long did it take them? I'm thinking about going there to get my BRZ tinted and want to know if I need to borrow a car for a couple days or if it's just an hour or two deal.

Well make an appointment ahead of time and it took 2 hours to complete my ST and that has more window space then the twins. Although, the twins have a texture on one of their windows, but I would assume 1 to 3 hours tops. Give them a call, they are good on the phone and can schedule a time and let you know the cost and how long. If you get their top tint that has the heatguard, it is usually like 399 for a car, but if you like them on facebook they drop to 299.

I can recommend Suburban Subaru, Troy, Mich. - if you can justify going that far. They have been very good to me. My salesperson was Brian Plauman @ 248.341.8060 (direct) or bplauman@suburbancollection.com. The service mgr. was very helpful as well. Any problems, let me know. My recommendations don't come easy. They have to earn it.
