Thanks for giving it a shot. It seems from other threads about TechStream that you can really f stuff up if you don't know what you're doing, so I'm glad you didn't!

This won't do the trick for speed compensation. I didn't even see the option anywhere.
Where did you get the TS software and what version is it? I can edit the TMPS codes with mine.

Also, OP, keep in mind the stock speedo is off a bit in stock form. At least mine was. When I changed to a taller tire (225/40-18), I verified its accuracy with a GPS speedo (as well as radar). It was reading true up to 80mph. From 80 to ~100, it reads 1mph less. Above that, I really dont care.

I installed it from the CD that came with the cable. It came from China, version 7.2 something...

Where did you get yours? The thing I'm most after is the TPMS code stuff.

Subaru guys use this. It uses the ABS sensor signal and converts that to a speed sensor signal. It's pretty basic if you wanted to build one yourself.

I've got to double check. I got it back in June/July and haven't used it since.

Did you do anything special aside from installing the drivers and installing techstream?

FWIW, I am running it on a virtual XP machine.

There are no traditional vehicle speed sensor signals from the transmission or differential anymore. The stability control system uses the four individual wheel speed sensors to calculate vehicle speed. Then it reports the data through a CAN message.

Most likely you would need to reprogram one or more of the modules for the stability control system. Usually it's only the supplier who has access to that.

Basically, unless you interrupt all four wheel speed sensors and hope that you don't trigger a rationality monitor (i.e., throw a code), you're probably not going to accomplish your goal.

Nope just the standard install. I followed the instructions and choose Europe though instead of US.
