Fog lights coming for 2015 muhaha. Leaning toward waiting for 2015 info at this point. These are welcomed additions though yet it's understandable that some are disappointed having purchased already (not brz limited owners) without these options. Like someone said, there will always be something out better etc it's just a matter of when the time to buy is right for you and what is available imo. Otherwise one could wait "forever".

Don't care for the fog lights - imho, a pair of lights that are going to get smashed (by road debris) or have more upkeep and do nothing for most part.

I see people with their foglights on and it drives me crazy and blind...

And this is why I went for a BRZ Limited. I know what it's like to not have all the new cool features. It's because of this reason that I got rid of my base model Gen Coupe. It's no fun seeing that everyone else's car has all the better features. The only thing that would actually make me envious at this point is if a new model releases with a nice bump in HP. By the time that happens I'll either decide to trade in if it's worth it or go FI.

Rear-seat center armrest, really? You think someone is actually going to sit back there and make use of it?

This car has $4000 of extra garbage that you can add aftermarket if you REALLY want it and cheaper.

Best thing this has is the Alcantara seats. That's it.

This is just like adding a trim level like the BRZ. I'm not seeing what's so special. You either want the extra goodies inside or save your money and get what you really want aftermarket. That was the whole reason I didn't buy a BRZ, actually. Pricier for a bunch of stuff on the inside.

I hope that they just left out (but the vehicle still has) the security system in the media release in the first post of this thread...

Scion FR-S & tC Monogram Series announced for Detroit

Quote:
Both models have additional standard equipment

Scion has unveiled the FR-S and tC Monogram Series, ahead of their debut at the North American International Auto Show.

The FR-S Monogram Series starts at $27,400 and comes nicely equipped with HID headlights, LED daytime running lights and a body-color rear spoiler. The model also has leather / Alcantara seats, heated front seats and dual-zone automatic climate control. Other highlights include a "frameless rearview mirror," a push button ignition and a BeSpoke Premium Audio system with GPS navigation and connected services.

Likewise, the tC Monogram Series starts at $21,400 and has heated leather front seats, upgraded door trim and accent stitching on the center console lid. The model also has a leather-wrapped gear knob, a push button ignition and a BeSpoke PremiumAudio system with GPS navigation and connected services. Last but not least, the car has floor mats, a rear spoiler and a rear window wiper.

Both models will go on sale in February and production will be limited to 2,000 units of the FR-S and 2,500 units of the tC

According to the owner's manual, all FR-S's have an anti-theft security system standard. But, the new owner has to follow the manual's activation procedure since it's off by default. Maybe Monogram takes it up a notch with a glass breakage sensor.

No it was listed as a feature this morning on Scion.com. This page has since been taken down it seems. But me aware that many Scion/Toyota dealers aren't aware that you have to activate it upon delivery, many 10 Series owners didn't have the Anti-theft activated (it wasn't even advertised) but its a feature of the Smart Key system, so they do have it.

Fair enough as your opinion - I just want the luxuries of the GT86 in North America. I don't view what they have added as garbage.

The difference in price is more along the $3k range I think. The first frs' were 25k with delivery fee included right? Since the monogram is 27400 without the delivery fee it would be about 28k with the fee. I personally would love the HIDs and the dual climate control knobs. Keyless/push button is nice and I wouldn't mind Leather seats because I'm always getting shocked coming out of my car because of the cloth seats.

It says starting at MSRP 28,155* from the above picture, includes delivery fees (at $755 for delivery on 27,400). This page has since been taken blocked off Scion.com http://www.scion.com/cars/monogram_series/FR-S/

However you can still see the page source html content and it says this..

"MSRP includes delivery, processing and handling fee. Excludes taxes, title, license and optional equipment. Dealer price may vary"

Here are the included images hidden within that html. Not really anything special, just thought people may want them.

I wonder if the LEDs are actually gonna work 24/7, or its gonna be like the 10 Series and they are disabled with headlights ON. Mods available to fix that.
