Just did my first drift event since I sold my S13 about 5 years ago. Had a blast and learned a little bit about this chassis!

The hardest part was definitely transitioning between drifts, the car kept snapping back and spinning out. Started to get the hang of it towards the end of the day, but it definitely feels snappy.

A lot of us who felt the same ditched the front sway bar and it helped quite a bit.

Anyone else suffer from bruises on the side of their knees? I'm wondering if upgrading to the jdm cushioned knee pads will be an interim step before going to a bucket seat.

Also, any recommendations for a jack? I'm not sure if there are full size alternatives but I'm looking for recommendations that have a small footprint but are obviously better than the stock scissor.

Play with your tire pressures more, you may need to run more than you think you do. I used to have the same issue/idea, but im starting to think it has more to do with being in throttle longer into the transition and keeping wheelspeed up. Doesn't matter how much pressure i ever put in my tires, off throttle at the wrong time during a transition and the car just wants to grip up and rotate regardless of the front sway bar.. didn't matter if I was N/A, right up to wher I am now with 400WHP. However i will say it rarely happens to me at all anymore now that i can drive more with throttle than just momentum

No front sway will certainly make it easier with an NA/lower power car. Im debating putting mine back in as of late as my transitions feel lazy with the power and hoping it'll make it a bit snappier.

Yes, my knees would be purple by the end of an event. A proper bucket seat helps, but i do still get some bruising as the stock seatbelt doesn't keep you as planted in the seat. Its world better though, and makes driving the car easier IMO as you can feel inputs a lot better.

I was debating getting the knee pads myself regardless.

I tried adding a little foam, it did help, but still a little sore the next day on side of leg/knee. This is with stock seats and belt, even tried a CG Lock on the stock seat belt which helped keep my butt and body in the seat, but legs still move about.

Just ordered knuckles + outer tie rods from pbm. Are they compatible with my Megan tie rods? Pbm can't confirm.

Megan tie rods are exactly the same as stock on the point where they connect to the outer tie rods, so they should. You're gonna have some binding without their tie rod offset-spacer tho

The PBM knuckles are compatible with Megan inner tie rods. Just get a proper alignment done. I run the same setup that you just got and its awesome! Obviously won't get you nearly as much angle as the complete kit, but it is Sooooo much better than stock. Steering is much quicker and more responsive. I don't have their offset rack spacers,(yet) and I don't have any binding issues at all. I do rub a little bit on the frame though. You're going to love them'

Some shots from this past weekend. Most of the day the track was dry with some wet parts in some throttle areas. First time really having to deal with wet/dry transitions. Was interesting to say the least

Had my first contact too, my buddy had over rotated, figured hed get out of my way, when i realized he wasn't i shut down but i should have shut down sooner. No major damage, just a new cold air inlet
