Yup, one of my other cars gets 10 mpg if I am easy on the pedal.

The price of gas could be $20/gallon and it would have no impact on how I drive or what I have for dinner. $2.39 is a nice little bonus though.

I average 32-33 in mixed driving when I'm just driving normally. Not sure why there are so many people who seem to insist you have to be hypermiling to get that sort of mileage. If I was hypermiling I'd be getting closer to around the OP's mileage.

$2.39 for premium, it's about $3.40-.50 for premium.. Lucky it my average on my HUD says 25.1 and that's 90% city and 10% freeway.

My highest was 30 mpg, about 80% highway, but I usually average about 28. Premium is 2.79 here in the Houston area, you would think gas would be the cheapest in Texas huh, guess not!

i realized my mpg is directly related to my driving style so no complaints. i was curious though what kind of mileage you'd get shifting with the arrow.

crazy idea to realize gas is cheaper in dfw a bit further away from all the refining activity along the coast.

I just bought my car on Friday and had a five hour drive to get it home. Did between 75 and 90 the whole way and giving it the biscuits when I could. Averaged 33.5 on the drive. I love it

Or you can just buy a Prius?

I average 24-25 with a big shit eating grin on my face. I got 34 one time on a 300 mile trip driving pretty high speeds, in comparison to my old range rover, i might as well be driving a turbo diesel golf

Same with us in Canada. The irony of paying at least double the price you guys do but then having our economy go to shit because gas prices dropped so we don't have the cash flow coming in from the US does not escape me.

Or one of both? BRZ for hooning, and Prius for commuting?

New 2014 Prius C2 leftover can be had for $16K right now ($2000 cash back form Toyota), and an used BRZ LMT out of warranty (over 36K miles) is about $18K.

Same here - I don't try to save gas, but just drive it like I want to. Typically get a little over 30mpg. All highway, 34-35. This includes redlining it at least once per day.
