Best you can do is try to take your mind off cars for a while and enjoy the rental. Maybe go on a road trip somewhere with it
Worst I have ever had was a shopping cart ding in a new car I had only had for 45 minutes and even that was aggravating.
I can't even imagine having a serious accident right after a purchase. Would suck balls!

I should refrain from commenting cause you seem to have been educated beyond your intelligence level. If someone punches you in the head and requires you to get stitches and a ER visit( you have health insurance ) but you can go to work the next day I guess you would be fine with that too ?? No big deal right ? I mean you survived and life goes on.... The OP was not at fault and no this is not the end of the world for him and yes his car will be repaired but if you are not bright enough to see how this is a major inconvenience that he did not bring on we can all just quit try to explain it to you now. Now get off your Mom's computer and go wash the BRZ she bought you.

Yeah definitely! I was actually in my car frantically pressing the horn when the lady in the SUV backed-up into it. It was like one of those horror films where you can see tragedy happening in slow motion but can't do anything to stop it. I was less mature back then and immediately jumped out of my car and started yelling at her for her awful driving, but really took all I had not to punch her. It's funny how different my reaction would be today...

I had an accident once where a woman was driving out of her driveway (Going forward, not in reverse) and she hit my back side passenger side on my old car. I got out in rage and it took a lot of effort for me not to punch her when she kept repeating "It's not my fault, you were driving fast and cut in front of me." refusing to give me her papers because I had no visible damage except for paint scuffs right on my back tire... She hit my wheel, not even the body. Turns out there was nothing, but damn...

If you can tell I was driving too fast and cut in front of you while you're exiting your driveway, maybe you should stay in your driveway. Forever.

As long as we are telling war stories, back in 1970 I had just bought a brand new 1970 MGB. I was stopped behind a county work truck near a RR crossing. There was a pickup truck close behind me. The county truck figured that he was too close to the crossing so, he backed up ...... and his big, ugly trailer hitch smashed into the hood of my low slung MG.

I laid on the horn ..... but he just made another run at me ...... and the jerk behind me wouldn't couldn't back up any further. When he made his third run and smashing into my car for the third time, I jumped out ran up and drug the fellow out of the cab of his truck.

He was quite surprised to see me. He didn't see my small, dark green car and thought the pickup truck was the only vehicle behind him.

Then and there, I learned NOT to pull up any closer to a truck that he can see you in his rear view mirrors. Hence the sticker on the back of trucks that says "If you can't see my mirrors, I can't see you"........

THE END

Hey Humfrs, not quite sure it is "the end"... you left out the juicy bit. What drug did you feed the truck driver? Was it the gold ole fashioned country weed, skunk or traditional homemade grandma's "special" cake?

Redneck to English dictionary

Drug: The past tense of drag.

Well, OK ...... you got me there .....

However, I have an excuse, back in elementary school, English was the last period of the day ...... so, the farm boys would have to cut out early and go home to work the fields.

Hell, I couldn't even pronounce conjugation ...... let alone know what it meant or how to do it ......
