Daniel Song's is sick! It needs some serious speed to match the look though. Maybe 5 to 600hp. I wonder how much of that $15000 he used, becuase it looks like he came out of pocket already.

The last two remind of the 90's style of tuning Love Daniel Song's FR-S the most though.

Post needs to allow us to vote if they are all FUGLY and do nothing to enhance the car... Obviously my opinion is not shared by all, but yeah... Not impressed with any of these cars.

If i absolutely had to chose, it would be the black one. The others are just butt ugly in my opinion.

Love hearing everyone's feedback. Few things to just clarify about the TUNER CHALLENGE CONTEST:

1) You are REQUIRED to have the car on air ride. my personal preference would be a proper coil over suspension setup. But because of previous Challengers who had their cars damaged from loading/unloading off transporters, SCION now requires all cars to be on air ride mainly because of logistics of delivery.

2) $15k is your build budget. Doesn't mean you can't lean on relationships and gain support from great sponsors who want to get behind these projects.

3) There will NEVER (EVER) be a car that 100% of the internet will love. That's what's amazing and dynamic about building vehicles. It's not called "personalization" for anything. I actually love hearing both the criticism and the love for the cars.

4) Comparing the EVASIVE car to the 3 Challenge cars is a bit unfair. And even being one of the Challenge builders - i 110% AGREE that EVASIVE WILL HAVE (mark my words) the SICKEST FRS build at SEMA this year. But challengers are bound to their budgets, time frames, etc. EVASIVE is also a professional shop (with crew, and experience). This is WHAT they do best. I wouldn't expect anything less than PERFECTION from these guys. Totally jaw-dropped to see their build (which I was following while building my car too - kept thinking to myself... i'm building a $15k race car... they're building a REAL race car ) Congrats to them! But again, they're building at a different level, and a different game.

5) Missiles, Lasers, *&$&$ Curse toggle switches... come on... if you can't have a little humor... then you're way too serious

6) A lot of Challengers over the years opt to have a professional SHOP or a "crew" build out their cars. It's easy to be a "catalog parts" order taker, and just slap on a bunch of bolt ons. Outside of some of the metal work (ie: roll cage welding, exhaust setup) and working with composites (ie: carbon, fiberglass work), 90% of the black FRS-GT was built literally in my home garage. I figured it embodied the "spirit" of the BUILD OFF better than just calling shots, and letting a shop do it all.

ALL IN ALL... great fun. Stressful as SH*#&$*$T but FUN experience! It's all in the hands of the judges... and i just hope i don't get dinged for not having SUBWOOFERS in my race car

We'll find out the winner in 2 days at SEMA. Thanks guys!

Lame.

They couldn't set the ride height higher for transport and adjust once on the floor? Doesn't have to be perfect and corner-balanced. Ah well.

Every car has its own flaws but if I had to choose I would pick the black FRS. The only thing I would change about it is instead of 0% tint headlight and taillight it shouldve been about at least 35%.

Other than that, goodluck!

I suppose crappy was not the correct word to use. Just my opinion from experience working in a large studio. Maybe they were hastily edited for release or something to that affect. Some of the coloring is off/inaccurate (look at the 3 of the Minty Fresh car) or if nothing else it is inconsistent. Notice the floor, it could use some work so it doesn't look cut out or floating. And I am not sure why the front of the two cars got cut off.

Again, just things that jumped out at me when I looked at them, some other minor things that I would have changed. I apologize to the OP/editor, I know know how it is.

Of the other two, I actually prefer the second, but the color has to go. I would like it in the Tan of the third., or maybe even red.

On the 3rd the aero kit just looks so stuck on it drive me nuts just looking at it. I really LOVED the original art for the 5AD when they started showing it and almost ordered it with my 1st86 after seeing it on the black one in Long Beach. I'm so glad I didn't. It just doesn't work on anything but black IMHO.
