Tein Mono Sport for my use case?

Beginner (13 track days) and mixed duty (15 mile roundtrip commute, 1-2 track days a month). I'm looking for a coilover to use for the next three years, mainly want to reduce body roll from the higher grip levels and increase responsiveness especially on turn in. I plan to stick with R-S3 since its affordable and I can be lazy and DD them. I'm going to participate in the 86cup, but I don't care about being competitive.

Does Tein Mono Sport look like a good fit for my use case?

Do I need camber plates and/or rear lower control arms to achieve 2.5-3 front and 2-2.5 rear negative camber with 0 toe?

I have been using these for the past few months. Only 6 track days on them plus a few side events and daily driving. They come with camber plates but you'll want rear LCAs unless class rules prohibit them. Good firm spring rate but the damping makes them comfortable on the street. You will probably outgrow the single-adjustability soon though.

Eh I have Tein Monosports and I've never been to the track. For DD, they feel fine to me, no worse than stock. Damper settings set to I believe 8 clicks out of 16.

This is the most common feedback we see. They ride approximately similar to stock, but offer substantially improved response to driver input, resulting in increased cornering confidence.

What is the rear LCA needed for? Is it because differences in left vs rear alignment may be magnified by the drop? Or that it's not possible to get 0 toe with close to -2.5* camber in the rear without adjustability?

You didn't mention how much you were planning to drop the car, so you might not get the rear camber you want.

Since there is no camber adjustment in the rear the only way to get there, or to match the camber precisely on the rears, is with an LCA.

Most likely a 1.4" drop, as recommended. Based on my estimates (wasn't able to search an exact scenario to mine), it would be close to 2.5-3.0 camber in the rear with 0 toe. Worst case, the shop has SPL LCA's in stock.

I have the SPC LCAs for mine, real affordable but I've heard good things bout it. I think im at 2.4 camber in the rear, needed it to fit my 255/40 tires.
