I can't click on anything for the FRS/BRZ. Looks like I'll be refreshing the site often.

Parts for both transmission and stock diff yes. Will carry over to any other diff that may be able to be swapped into the car in the future.

Sounds like a good plan, but after driving this car a bit, I feel like it's over geared for our purpose.

I have the 4.30 but even 4.10 is a pretty steep gear for a 3000 pound car, with a 600hp engine with gobs of low end torque, that only spins to 6000+-rpm on a 25-26" tall tire.

Pretty sure we are going to need to be in the 3.55-3.73 range...maybe even a little taller...

What do you think Dustin?

Just start in 2nd gear. That's like first for a ZL1.

It's probably going to need a final drive ratio change. Just not sure what at the moment.

I am hoping to make the flat floor out of alumalite. I have had plans to make a splitter out of it, but I never bought the panels as they are expensive, I just need to go ahead and do it. I will prototype them out of the corrugated plastic I have. Same with the splitter. I need to get my exhaust up closer to the body though, as the Greddy 3" sits quite low. I am hoping I don't have to modify it too much.

I don't think we will know until after they finish their shop car swap, which doesn't seem to be high on the list at the moment.

Still waiting on my new/old DD to get out of the shop and can't/don't want to buy the swap parts until I know what that bill looks like. So assuming it comes out this week (was "done" last friday from what I saw when I dropped the bushings off). I expect to have swap parts ordered in the next two - three weeks. Kind of sad I couldn't place the order right when they got released, but such is life.

Depending on transmission delivery, I am going to try and borrow some shop space at a friends shop and get the swap done by the end of February to attend the Vorshlag open house. If not by then, It will be done by IA Kansas City.

Awesome swap, I love the LS.

Are there any type of performance numbers associated with these swaps? You mentioned this swap was going to be ideal for you solely based on giving you more bang for your buck and reliability at pretty high HP levels.

I can't find any numbers for a V8 swap 86 around button willow or drag times outside of the drift car benefits. With a swap performed "so much" to get the moniker of "another V8 swap," where are the track times? lol Youtube has everything, and there's practically nothing. More so, "I want the car show points."

I recently found a FT86 track event in Japan and the V8 swapped 86 trumped the competition featuring boosted FA/4U vehicles etc by almost 10 seconds. I've seen RX7 guys have problems with strength in the drivetrain support area with the added weight/torque down the drag strip. I'm wondering if we haven't reached that plateau of people really pushing the vehicles. Who's really putting one of these V8 swaps through the paces?

There's so much potential, I honestly believe your about to have a real supercar on your hands for a fraction of the cost. I hope to see people trying out more engines soon, the VQ is more than capable and a third of the cost, not to mention the transmission is bulletproof.

Don't worry. We will be swapping our car JUST for NASA Time Trials. Think big-big motor and big-big tire.
