Sorry to hear about your bad experience at magnaflow. Although that only reflects once instance for that particular employee, and not the company as a whole. Before i pass judgement they would have to be repeating offences. So far IMO Mangaflow is still a top notch company with a pretty good reputation.

HOWEVER, despite my indifference, id prefer to choose a developer at a more grassroots level that treats our FT86club members like Royalty or like a family member/relative.

Still looks good Chate, hope your journey gets much smoother from here.

The only experience I have is my own, and after googling other peoples experience I realize I should have known better. I also delt with AEM, they were great, put only 10 miles on the car, washed and re-fueled it before returning it to me.

These guys were just shady. They're definately more interested in getting a product out ASAP to sell and make money than making something innovative, sure its just an exhaust, but It is evident that they don't do much development though, took it in on tuesday, picked it up friday with an installed exhaust. If you're looking for sophisticated engineering look elsewhere, the exhaust on my car is the same as stock with bigger piping, something your local muffler shop can do for you.

And just to boot, i told them "i'm gonna share my experience with you guys" and was told to "post whatever you want, it makes no difference to us, we're a huge company" that line itself should tell you their business philosophy.

Sorry for the rant. Let's just get back to the car, I can't wait to wash it, fuel it, and hit the road after work!!

Good but bad to hear about magnaflow. May I ask, why did you opt with 3 inch exhaust piping on an N/A engine?

I'll take pics and post up sometime this weekend. Sound is deep at idle and <2k rpm, basically disappears beyond 3k drowned out by that engine tube sound

I see. Just doesn't seem right. N/A engines need a certain amount of back pressure from the exhaust system. 2 to 2.5 inch tops. 3 inch piping is certainly overkill. 3in is usually ideal for a boosted motor of the same size.

Good to know, I'm now interested to see what AEM comes up with in a few months. I will likely get the car dyno'd again with the magnaflow exhaust because they claimed 8hp, but had no torque info or rpm info on their graph oh, and I dont trust them so take a look, who knows this might be a different car knowing these people:

I have a baseline on a mustang dyno from AEM, I will scan that at some point too
