Monty- you and Reamer can have a contest to see who's arrives first. Scheduled for the same day

The reason we haven't answered the weight question yet is because it's heavy. Really heavy.

The early versions were like Maxime said, in the ultra-light category. However, in order to deaden sound without packing material, we had to use thicker-walled stainless.

After all the hangers, gaskets and hardware were measured- the muffler comes in at a gargantuan 11kg's

Let the blasting begin...

I doubt that quick-velded hack-up exhausts with multiple external mufflers in Laguna Seca are lightweight too. I doubt 11kg will be more then those monster looking exhausts

I'm looking for something that I can buy and expect to keep for the life of the car. That weight and the reasoning behind it makes me very happy.


I'll keep waiting for the dual tip. I'm not in a hurry, my car's still in storage for the next couple of months.

Hmm, start a new job Monday, probably wouldn't be the best idea to work from home on my second day...But the irrational competitive side of me wants to "win" this "race". Lol.

Regarding the weight, the q300 is heavier than stock too. Plus, with all the poooowwwaahhhh the ACE 350 gives, some extra weight on the back tires might help with all this wheelspin (lololol).

I believe they're measuring just the muffler there, which still makes it lighter than the OE muffler (~.8kg)

Oh, haha... not yet. Still ogling it. Waiting for the damn Diode Dynamics units to arrive.

I'll post some pics of the installation but I won't be rushing out to a dyno or anything. I have a long way to go before I start tinkering with the tune. Matt knows my plans.
