GT2860RS with JDL turbo kit
So I was wondering how close of a fit it would be with the GT2860RS turbo and stock fans? I know from what I’ve seen looks close and it might melt some of the fan? So I was thinking if I cut it a little bit and get a turbo blanket I’d be okay? Any opinions?

Your probably gonna want a slim fan/shroud to mate up to the stock radiator. Not much room in our engine bay.

You're gonna be hitting the fan shroud still, but you won't come into contact with the fans. |

I suggest getting a slim shroud. I just did the install, and I am happy I have slim shroud.

Slim fan shroud is ideal but the 2860 will fit with OEM. Connector at the bottom needs to be moved by the downpipe, the plastic by the turbo generally can tolerate some pretty high temps since air is constantly flowing there and blowing away from the fans. With that said on our setup we're going with a slim shroud/spal fans to not have to worry about it.

Okay thanks good to know. I’m going to give it a go with the stock shroud. I just ordered the same kit. V2 w/gt2860r.
