I have a cousin that went to work as an entry level draftsman for one of the biggest contractors in Canada. He met and married the daughter of the owner of the company and became the VP of US operations at age 30. So you can indeed make it in the industry if you marry the right people.

Okay, so I guess I'm not making a "what should my next car be" thread. But! I might make a beard related thread. (Still probably won't do that either)

I once took a week long HAZMAT course and became certified. At the end we had to suit up in a level A suit and perform certain tasks. Even though I had a self contained, portable back up air supply in addition to the self contained suit air supply, I had a fear of suffocation.

After receiving certification I NEVER put that kind of suit on again!

Yes, I have changed a few diapers that I wished I had that type of suit on -

Back in the day, there was a rumor about Van Halen's performance contracts which required placing in the dressing room a bowl of M&Ms with all the brown ones removed. Recently, I read an interview where Eddie or Alex confirmed that after some equipment failure, they added that clause just to make sure people were paying attention to the details.

Brown M&Ms = show canceled

now i understand your frustration. i knew you were in construction, but not the specific trade.

drywall, well, i know of no good drywall companies... but general contractors, plumbing, roofing, and electrical, i know of a few of each that i can confidently recommend in my local area. but the roofer is rough, and it's really only the bosses work ethic that i suggest on.. roofing, drywall, and insulation are all really hard trades that take just about anyone because few want to to do it.
