yup, GM usually sells like 20-30k units a year. one of the draw backs of any Vette. they're going to be a dime in a dozen.
How is that a draw back... Parts, parts everywhere.. support for issues, used prices.. etc

Sensational reveal, more exciting than any similar event in years.

As impressive as C8 is, this is one I'd wait until 2021 MY to order and give GM time to sort out the bugs sure to appear and for prices to stabilize after the early adopters get theirs.

This must have Morizo's head spinning today.

Exactly, that's part of the reason why I bought a 86 and not some limited production car like an Evora. Cheap and plentiful parts are a huge factor, especially as your car gets older.

Having a snowflake car is cool when it's new, not so much 20 years down the road when you are paying $300 for a replacement mirror

Saying you want exclusivity, yes, yes you did.

It's like saying you don't like foot fetishes, as they are not fetish enough for you, but you want all the things foot fetishes would provide to you, like eating toe jam.

Exclusivity should never be celebrated, nor should you care about being a part of some exclusive group.

This confirms that I am living in a weird bizarro universe. I never thought I would say these words, but I would prefer the new corvette over the new supra.

I don't think the Supra can compete with the C8 tbh.

what are you talking about? i never said if i did or didnt wanted "exclusively".

1. i was simply stating past Vette sales.
2. stating the fact that if sales rate continue there is going to be a lot of C8s.

you can still appreciate the appeals of having a mass product car while still personally preferring exclusively. thats like saying i don't hate ice cream. it makes many people happy, but i personally its not my favorite dessert.

lol, tell that to the guys that got the 1st gen NSX (9k), FD RX7s (13.8k), and A80 Supras (11.4k) vs those that brought a 300ZX (89k) and 3000GT (79k). the latter can be had for few Gs on craigslist all day.

Press says it is starting under $60k... unless that's because they will have a total crap base model and the one they are showing is really $120k, I may become a corvette owner soon.

i dont think its going to be that bad. using the options on the C7 for example, most people are probably going to spec their base C8 to around $70k or so.

Can you read? Exclusivity.

You talk as if you're arguing with yourself.

Even at $70k for a mid-engine 495HP NA car, that is a steal. You know it won't be long before someone throws a supercharger on one and cranks it up over 1000HP.

I would bet Callaway Corvette already has plans in place for a monster of a car.

no doubt, like with the C7 this will be the best bang for you buck.
