How many miles on that set up, and what fuel were you running?

I was driving in the rain, got up to 40mph rather conservatively, and once my speed was stabilized at 40, I went maybe 200 feet and the engine quit. It was a strange mix of noise, literally every light on my dashboard came on ( including both turn signal indicators on steady), and a huge cloud of white smoke that literally caused everything behind me to vanish. I also had little bits of metal bouncing down the road beside me. I now have a window under my intake manifold that is about 10 inches long by one inch wide. Carnage, pure carnage. I am about to walk into the garage, repair my broken garage door spring, and pull the engine. I will take it to the engine builder who can hopefully salvage the heads and timing cover. Getting more power and rpm, and I am getting an improved drivetrain (think stronger transmission). I will reveal more on that when the option I am going with is officially released. I believe a lot of people are going to want to know about this. I was a little north of 350 whp when my engine blew btw. This is not a cheap engine to build. I mean really not cheap! But, I don't want to destroy the character of the car by doing an LS swap or something like that. Just what I want...! I don't mind others doing it, it just isn't for me.

How much boost did the testing with the RS show to make at redline? Is the lowered redline necessary because the blower is exceeding 90k rpms? Reason Im asking is because I have a built motor in process and am looking at squeezing more out of my C38. I originally was going to have a machine shop make me a custom pulley that will make about 14-15psi at redline and then use a wastegate placed right before the intercooler and set it to open at 12psi (and also lower the redline a little bit) that way id have the boost level of the High Boost Pulley but that 250ft lbs or whatever torque it makes would come on sooner in the rpm band. Setti g the wastegate to open before hitting max boost at redline should allow it to hit that 12psi sooner and hold it till redline if Im not mistaken?

Anyways all that aside, if the RS pulley can make just north of 12-13psi without overworking the rotrex Ill be satisfied lol.
I dont mind a slightly lowered redline if i can hit boost sooner.

Another map can be setup for race gas 110 octane with different timing and fuel strategies to maximize the fuel. Most tuners use the cruise control stalk to change maps.

ECUtek, yes oil cooler, Mobil 1 5w30. Yes oil cooler. It was tuned like I requested, not a tuner mistake. My mistake.

I was on a 93 octane tune for about one year. C30, standard pulley, oil cooler, ace 350a header and full exhaust. Switched to e85 catless in July. Engine blew the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. I'm a pilot and was in training for a new aircraft. I finally just now have time to deal with it. Just want to be clear it wasn't a tuner mistake. My request was met.

Definitely need to get together this Summer! I ordered the Rad/Cooler combo, just have to wait until work slows down to install it.

15k? Really? That number seems inflated.
