P0351 and out of warranty

Hi everybody, my car reached 38,000 miles so it is out of warranty. I know there was some recalls for this issue, but would the dealership cover it? My car was early production so I would think so but I've heard some bad stories with a- hole dealerships. Thanks for any advice You can give me.

Well, you might try clearing the code and see if it returns. Maybe it was just a "hiccup".

If it won't stay away, I suggest you take it into the dealer.

Not ALL dealers are uncooperative ....

Thanks guys, I mistook the bumper to bumper warranty with the powertrain warranty. Autozone erased the code so if it comes back I'll go to the dealer.

Even if it is out of warranty it's just an $80 part and a 10 mm wrench to replace it.
