I love this car, I truly, truly do. I've loved it since I first saw concepts of it when they were first released.
Why can't all the stupid people pick on another car? Haha.

I just don't want to get this car and insurance going up...and up...and up.
There is a curse no lie , I wrecked my car last year in june after fixing my door that someone backed into while I was at a friends house, and then someone keyed my whole car in january . -_- I've considered taking a loss on the car and buying a 350z nismo so many times, until I turn it on and hear the exhaust :3

So today I got my fuel pump replaced (to help with that damn chirping) and the guys at Subaru noticed my fuel plug (?) was beaten to hell. They said it couldn't have been road debris and it looked like someone smashed it with a hammer. Wtf?

Another career question. Do you guys think Business Admin. emphasis in Information Systems is a good major? Is there anyone here who has majored in this field that could give me some advice? I am not exactly sure what kind of a job I can get with this degree, and whether it pays good or not...choosing a "good" career is hard

Never heard of "Information Systems", but I'm assuming this is mostly your typical undergrad business degree.

Honestly, unless you're absolutely horrible at math/physics go for the CS/MechE/Stats or Applied Math. If you're a "technical major" you can still apply for business jobs, but not the other way around. Business majors like to think that investment banking/consulting/accounting is a good career because of "exit ops", but most of them take exit ops that don't make as much money as an engineer anyways. Higher end traditional finance jobs are really rare anyhow, and those are the only places a business background person is going to be making more money.

The great thing about engineering is that you can start saving up money from the start, and if you really hate it you can always switch out and have more money in your pocket. Worst case you end up with something that pays like 60-70k, but a starting business analyst only rakes in 40k at some places.

The only way this can go wrong is if you are really bad at your technical classes and end up with really low grades. If you can scrape a B+ average in hard classes and then inflate your GPA with BS classes up to a 3.7 ish you'll be able to at least get some interviews.

Thanks for the info. I am just stuck between computer science/information systems/computer information systems. Not sure if Business Admin with emphasis in Information Systems is the same as Computer Information Systems (CIS). Is Computer Science just coding? I'm not certain if I want to code for the rest of my life. However, a lot of people have said computer science pays well

Judging by what you're saying, you'd probably be just coding for a long time in a CS job. However studying CS is not all about coding, you have to learn theory too. That said, what do you think an IT or business job is going to be? Hint, more boring than coding.

I have never heard of "information systems", and I bet a lot of people haven't either, but you can bet that everyone knows what "computer science" is. Like I said, you can go do another job with a CS degree, but you can't do a well paying CS job with a business degree.

Its a relatively common discipline. Its still a technical degree, but more around the application of technology to solve business needs than deep dive into the bits and bytes of it all. It provides training for applying Computer Science in the "real world" rather than working for a tech company.

I have an MS in Information Systems. In that I took courses on database engines, networking, application architecture etc. There was an option to do programming courses, but I was a programmer at the time.

There is some business courses associated with it as well, so there is that part of it.

cs isn't just coding and honestly it's the way to go you learn so much more when getting a CS degree compared to a business mis or whatever your school calls it ... I'm about to finish my cs degree , and when we talk to the people getting the techy business degree we about laugh because they just got robbed of learning... I could go more into depth about why cs is a better choice , but I'm hungover so I'm not going to right now.

CS is a better choice I agree! CS degree here and I barely code, I am in the information security field and it rocks

I mean, that's what I said in my second sentence lol. My viewpoint is a little unique in that I'm a mathematician (or aspiring if you want to be correct) but most software jobs are what I would consider mostly coding and very little problem solving/design. My friends who are going into the industry tend to say that they like the coding part and not the "math"/algorithms part, and I get the impression that their job is pretty much to write working code.

I have a friend who just graduated math, but he's going to do IT and doesn't have any background there, whereas if I tried to get a software job with my horrible coding skills, I would be laughed at.
