Aftermarket Push Clips?

So you know how these terrible things are all over the outside of our cars, most notably the fender liners? Does anyone know if there are any dress-up kits that have these? Or just a better, more durable version? I would pay a pretty penny for some black or red anodized version of this.

I got a bunch of these things off Amazon for dirt cheap in all 3 sizes for our cars. They seem made well enough.

My question about your question is, you can anodize plastic?

You could buy then paint them. If you really want a shiny metal look you can paint yours with Dupli-color Metalcast, but I don't know how long that would hold up before it started to chip. http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=...st&FORM=HDRSC2

I've been thinking about buying a speed nut and trying to use engine dress up bolts but haven't had the time.

Do you have a link for these?? Words cannot express my frustration with these clips over the years. Nothing on my car has a full compliment of these clips anymore as they are constantly flying off or breaking when I try to remove them with a flat head screwdriver.

I was hoping for a solution that maybe wasn't plastic, or was much much more durable. the "phillips" head clips are atrocious!

To anyone who is currently looking for some clips that are better than the originals, I ordered a ton of different, non-Subaru, clips from Amazon. Everything I ordered was stronger, however some fit, some don't. Below I am posting links to the three different products.

1. This is my top choice to replace the 8mm diameter clips in the fender liner. It's not as pretty looking as the OEM ones (before you destroy them after one use). These are also vastly more durable than OEM clips, they don't get ruined when you take them out, and they're easier to take out than the OEM "phillips" style ones. These pop out by inserting a flat head into the side and twist the screwdriver. So no need to turn your wheel to remove clips. They are a very firm fit (My calipers indicate OEM clips are about 7.75mm diameter. These are 7.85mm.) but it does fit and holds everything together way tighter. This is what should have came factory. These fit 8mm holes and seem to be about 1-2mm longer than OEM clips and like the one below, it didn't fit in the fender liner to side-marker bracket. This can be quickly worked around by filing or sanding down the pointed tip. If you want a better clip than OEM but don't care that they look different, this is for you. 2. This is a close replacement to the OEM, however these fit a bit tighter and are vastly more durable. However, they are about 1mm longer than OEM, so these do not fit in the place of the clip that attaches the finder liner to the front side-marker bracket.... the hole in the fender liner behind the side-marker light. They work for all other locations that need 8mm diameter clips. These fit the 8mm holes. My issue with these is that they clip together so well, they're more difficult to unlock than the OEM clips. So if you want OEM look, better fit, more durable, but harder to get unlocked, this is for you. 3. This is the odd-ball of my choices. This is the replacement for the larger clips under the bumper that hold the various trays and mud-guards together. These are very similar to OEM, however the material seems a bit stronger and the fit is tighter (no problems though). These fit the 10mm hole. These are really similar to the clips in the top of the bumper (in the engine bay) that hold down the metal bracket and rubber seal between the hood and bumper. Thank you for sharing your find! I've been looking for something to replace the damn clips behind the side markers. My passenger side side marker keeps falling out ever since I mangled the quarter turn fastener behind it...
